[Bug 1728679] [NEW] upgrade-software-version for Xenial
Public bug reported: The version of Evolution in Xenial, 3.18.5.2-0ubuntu3.2, is very old, and has bugs, such as "destination is read only" on a webdav folder. I have been told it was corrected in the later versions, thereefore I would like to request an upgrade of this software for Xenial which you know is a LTS which will be supported until 2021. Thanks for considering this request. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: upgrade-software-version -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1728679 Title: upgrade-software-version for Xenial To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1728679/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1728679] Re: upgrade-software-version for Xenial
> It's generally against Ubuntu's SRU policy to allow new major versions (3.18 > 3.20) into a stable release. I am suggesting to upgrade to the latest stable version of Evolution which is the same as in 17.10 : Evolution 3.26 which came out right today. About upgrading to 17.10 I don't think so, I have no time available for cleaning the mess if the upgrade goes wrong (which happens to users when upgrading versions of the distribution, once a while). LTS it is, LTS it stays. [Bug 1478386] Re: zenity's option to render html does not work
Hello, I was wondering if the name of the option could have changed, or replaced by another action, so I did a check on the info file "text.page" in /usr/share/help/C/zenity for this version of the zenity- common package, and the "--html" is still what is supposed to be used for this case. * --html Enable html support. * Best regards, Mélodie -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to zenity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1478386 Title: zenity's option to render html does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zenity/+bug/1478386/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1737083] Re: Epiphany does not start
Hi, I am using Ubuntu 16.04 perfectly up to date, with an Openbox environment which makes use of openbox-menu. (https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/openbox-menu ) I also have lxpanel, with a classic menu. My version of lxpanel is 0.8.2-1ubuntu2 (There is a version of it being 9.3 upstream). My version openbox-menu is 0.8.0-1. Openbox-menu makes use of the menu-cache lib from the lxde project… Strangely, when invoked using the Applications menu in the Openbox menu, Web (epiphany-browser) starts fine! When I add a quick start button in the quick start applications bar in lxpanel, a simple click does not start it, a double click starts 2 instances of it. I does not start at all when using the Lxpanel menu "Internet > Web". I have tried to remove all ~/.cache/menu/* files, and restart the session. I think "Web" could be started once from the menus, then no more. I have tried to start "epiphany" from the console, it worked every time. I will also add my "_usr_bin_epiphany.1000.crash" file as a zip attachment. ** Attachment added: "_usr_bin_epiphany.1000.crash.zip" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epiphany-browser/+bug/1737083/+attachment/5032247/+files/_usr_bin_epiphany.1000.crash.zip -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to epiphany-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1737083 Title: Epiphany does not start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epiphany-browser/+bug/1737083/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1737083] Re: Epiphany does not start
PS: something is strange here, I just removed the _usr_bin_epiphany.1000.crash from the /var/crash directory, and now the "Web" launcher from the lxpanel menu works. Could it be possible that this older version of lxpanel comes with some old version of libmenu cache and does not refresh fast enough to work right away after installing the package? When I start it from console, I only get these warnings: *** $ epiphany (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE *** I would like to know how to get epiphany to work right away after starting it the first time, if possible to get it to work right away? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to epiphany-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1737083 Title: Epiphany does not start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epiphany-browser/+bug/1737083/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1545212] [NEW] Evolution 3.18.4 package does not include translations
Public bug reported: Hello, I upgraded to Xenial (I need to follow what happens during the last weeks before the release) and I notice Evolution 3.18.4 does come with the translations, when downloading the tarball upstream, however in my system it's still in English and I can't find the French mo in my system. How come the package for Ubuntu does not get the translation which is ready to go upstream? (I opened the mo in Poedit and could see the chains are all translated). https://download.gnome.org/sources/evolution/3.18/evolution-3.18.4.tar.xz Thanks for a fix! [Bug 1163043] [NEW] Directory Desktop stays in English in the Live CD's
Public bug reported: Hi, After testing Lubuntu Precise, Xubuntu Precise, I have been able to test also Ubuntu Raring as of todays daily built and Xubuntu Raring of today's daily built, and found the same in each of these versions. What happens : I boot to Live, choose my language, then once on the desktop, I seek for the default directories in the home of the user : and in this *Live* environment all the directories are in my language except "Desktop" which is still having for name "Desktop". What is expected: I would be expecting the directory "Desktop" to be in my locale in the Live CD's/ Live USB/ Live vitual machines... What happens after install : in all the versions tested, all directories, *including* the directory "Desktop" are renamed the right way. I wish that the Desktop directory be also in the relevant locale in the Live versions, if it is possible to fix it. Here are a few screenshots to demonstrate the tests I have done: Live: http://meets.free.fr/images/Raring/ubuntu-raring-desktop-French-in-Live.png After install: http://meets.free.fr/images/Raring/ubuntu-raring-desktop-French-after-install.png Live: http://meets.free.fr/images/Raring/xubuntu-raring-desktop-French.png Regards, Mélodie ** Affects: xdg-user-dirs-gtk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to xdg-user-dirs-gtk in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1163043 Title: Directory Desktop stays in English in the Live CD's To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-user-dirs-gtk/+bug/1163043/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1922414] Re: Xorg scripts fail with "has_option: command not found"
Hello, I am meeting with the same errors in my ~/.xsession-errors file, against files belonging to x11-common.
