[Bug 157266] Re: gnome-terminal with --command option fails after first time
Hello, Sorry if I sound arrogant or inconvenient in any way, it is not my intention. It just happens that I would very much like this to work and cant understand why this bug endures until now if it was reported back in 2005 (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324407#c1).. Why can't the terminal just stay open and operational after the commands execution? is this just because of a super low priority or is it really a hard thing to fix? -- gnome-terminal with --command option fails after first time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157266 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 157266] Re: gnome-terminal with --command option fails after first time
Hi, just to let you know that I found a way to leave the prompt open and operational http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-296628.html Basically you just have to create a script that initiates the command /bin/bash then if you want to run some specific command whe that shell opens you need to create a custom .bashrcCustom and pass it with the --rcfile option like this: #! /bin/sh /bin/bash --rcfile .myCustombashrc hope this helps someone -- gnome-terminal with --command option fails after first time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157266 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 141269] Re: nautilus stoping responding then opening directory witch contains 1600 photos. After update 16 Sept.
I moved to gutsy making a fresh install and now I'am having a similar issue that I do not remember having on Feisty: When I open a directory with many files (700 pitctures in this case) Nautilus grays out for 30 seconds while "Loading..." the contents. However, in my case it comes back with the file list after those killer seconds. This gray out only seems to happen while on the LIST VIEW any other open Nautilus windows gray out at the same time. The backtrace I attached does not seem to help since Nautilus does not really crash. It only hangs for a while.. If there's another way to get a backtrace during the hang please tell me. ** Attachment added: "backtrace of nauilus" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10296741/gdb-nautilus.txt -- nautilus stoping responding then opening directory witch contains 1600 photos. But nautilus does not crash. It only hangs for many seconds. I did not find info on how to obtain a trace during the hang?
