[Bug 263241] Re: launchpad trac requires a change to trac installation!!

2009-01-24 Thread Graham Binns
I've targeted this to the plugin's Launchpad project.

I'm not quite clear on your points here:

 1. it should not require to change a trac installation if launchpad is
a client

Trac doesn't offer the necessary APIs out of the box (at least at the
moment), so the plugin is a necessity. Do you think there's another way
to solve the problem that the plugin solves?

 2. if it is necessary, adjust the plugin, in this case xml-rpc to have
a generalized solution and not a hack

I'm not clear on what you mean here. The plugin builds on top of the
existing XML-RPC plugin for Trac. It does, however, require patches to
be made to the Trac core for Trac 0.10 installations.

 3. if this is not possible, add a plugin on http://trac-hacks.org

I think this should be done anyway, but I'd like clarification on your
points above before I proceed.

I can reproduce this using gedit. I can't tell whether this is a problem
with launchpad-integration or with Launchpad Bugs, so I'm adding this
task and will investigate tomorrow.

[Bug 311690] Re: Report A Bug Launchpad page missing for Rhythmbox

2009-01-04 Thread Graham Binns
As Sarah pointed out, waiting and refreshing makes everything work
nicely. The added token at the end is generated by Launchpad and
returned to the launchpad-integration package in an X-Launchpad-Blob-
Token header (James Westby explained this on IRC).

So it appears that Launchpad is generating a token for the uploaded blob
and then pretending that the token doesn't exist, which is positively
weird.

That's my suspicion, too. I'll investigate and see if that's the case.
If it is, it should be trivial to fix.

[Bug 445123] [NEW] There's no simple way to disable the gdm face browser

2009-10-06 Thread Graham Binns
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

What happens:
Having upgraded to Karmic, I am presented with the new gdm login screen, with
its list of users. Not liking this much, preferring the old method of entering
my username and password (old habits, I guess) I go to the Login screen
settings to hide the face browser and find that I can't. I can only:

 1. Enable the face browser
 2. Have the machine auto-login to a given user account with a delay so that
others can log in if the automatic account isn't theirs.

Neither of these are particularly satisfactory solutions.

What should happen:
gdmsetup should allow the user to disable the face browser, as used to be
possible in previous releases. At the moment, the only way I can disable the
face browser is by using gconftool-2 directly, which is suboptimal for any
non-cli-savvy user.

[Bug 346886] Re: Error while exporting my photos to my PTP digital camera whereas import works fine

2009-04-02 Thread Graham Binns
Apologies for the repeated description changes. Bug 354158 is preventing
this bug from being forwarded upstream. As far as I can tell at the
moment that's due to unicode data that Launchpad's not handling
property. I've removed the unicode characters from the bug description
and this bug is no longer OOPSing, so it should be forwardable now.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: nautilus

I'm running Jaunty and i found fantastic to be able to browse my PTP
digital camera (canon Ixus 30 aka Powershot SD200) with Nautilus (it
may be new since i didn't notice that before)

It seems that Nautilus uses gvfs-backends + libgphoto2-2 for that feat

However although i can perfectly copy/cut a photo from my camera to
paste it on my hard drive, i can't copy/cut a photo (DSC1.JPG) from
my hard drive to paste it into my camera (/DCIM directory)

  I got that popup :

[Bug 146883] Re: application menu is empty

2007-09-30 Thread Graham Binns
A work-around for me was to copy /usr/share/ubuntustudio-
menu/applications.menu into my .config/menus directory. Obviously this
won't work for non Ubuntustudio users, but copying
/etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu (attached) to ~/.configs/menus/ will do
the same job for standard Ubuntu.
