Unfortunately bug wasn't fixed yet, at least after updating to Hardy today. Interesting thing, that after disabling "Enable Automatic Login" in GDM configuration problem was fixed. [Bug 201979] [NEW] unkown playback error
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Hello I am new to this type of OS so please bear with me. I am the owner and Program Director of World's Cool JazZ, wcjz.com. I tried to play our 48k aacPlus stream on you player and all I receive is "unkown playback error" The Ubuntu release is 7.10(gutsy) with 2.5 gig of ram and a 2.2 gig AMD64 processor. Rhythmbox 0.11.2 came with the Ubuntu install, which is the player I tried to listen to our internet streams with. I also tried our pop-up players and neither the 48k aacPlus or the 64k Mp3Pro work in this OS. The 48k aacPlus pop-up requires a plugin for Firefox and the 64k pop-up is similar to the embedded Windows Media Player. We have a How-To on our site and I would like to add Linux to the players and plug-ins for those that want to listen to our station with your player. Any help would be greatly appreciated. truant, Hmm, could be something's fixed then. This just came back to mind for me yesterday as I picked up my linux netbook that I haven't used for a few months. The settings are correctly stored for me at the moment. I'll keep an eye on it as I use this for the next week or two and confirm if it's still working for me then. [Bug 377473] Re: Audio problems running video call with Skype
I suffer the same problem with my PC. It is caused by the Ubuntu insistence in using 'pulseaudio' in the new releases. I patched up my PC by removing 'pulseaudio' and installing 'esound' in its place. Now the Audio works and I can use Skype. The problem is that, with any new update, Ubuntu reinstalls 'pulseaudio' and I am obliged to repeat the procedure. You can find how to do it via Google or ask me for more details. Hi! In Terminal, (Main menu -> Accessories -> Terminal), enter the following: killall pulseaudio sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio sudo apt-get install esound sudo rm /etc/X11/Xsession.d/70pulseaudio That is all and good lack. [Bug 413580] [NEW] Deleting an item removes the file but triggers Missing Files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Although the summary is brief it is a fairly good summary. By deleting a track from within rhythmbox, specifically when viewing the Music tab on the left and viewing all items, the file is removed (sent to Deleted Items) however it then flags the Missing Files item on the left as well indicating that the file is no longer present. [Bug 426981] [NEW] Unicode characters in symbolic names causes stat error: file not found.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox When trying to open symbolic links pointing to MP3 files, Rhythmbox fails to open or import them to the media library with "Couldn't access : Error stating '/...': No such file or directory.
