[Bug 301035] Re: Ubuntu icon on the system partition

2009-06-04 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
I'm not sure how you set icons in Nautilus to use emblems by default,
but adding an Ubuntu logo emblem to the Human icon theme is trivial.

A link needs to be created between
/usr/share/icons/Human/scalable/places/start-here.svg and
/usr/share/icons/Human/scalable/emblems/emblem-ubuntu.svg  A emblem-
ubuntu,icon file should also be created.

Just tested it here and was able to add the emblem.

I have no idea why it was set in-progress, but please see comment #24.
gnome-screensaver recommends rss-glx (ubuntu-desktop also seems to pull
this in), and in order to really cut the number of installed screen
savers down we should not install it by default.

You seem to not have cdbs, a build dependency for metacity, installed.
Run:

sudo apt-get build-dep metacity

That will install all needed build dependencies.

I'll ask around on IRC about this is the morning, but if anyone else
wants to figure this out before, be my guest. The LP integrating patch
applies fine and the package build deps on liblpint-bonobo-dev, Any
ideas?

[Bug 309529] Re: Rebuild for libgnome-desktop-2-7 -> libgnome-desktop-2-11 transition (reversenbs)

2009-02-06 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
New upstream allows quick-lounge-applet to build correctly with GNOME
2.25.*

quick-lounge-applet (2.13.1-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
   - Removed the animation when launching the application.
   - Support launching apps by dropping files on them (#171739).
   - Use the default panel launcher icon, if the icon is missing.
   - Allow to specify the number of rows (columns) explicitly. Patch by
 Jared Warren (#161444).
   - Re-designed the "choose application from menu" dialog.
   - Replaced the old launcher dialog with a dialog similar to the one
 used by gnome-panel.
   - Migrated the documentation to gnome-doc-utils.
   - Ported to gio.
   - Removed the libglade dependency.
   - Bugs fixed:
+ #532174: Odd behaviour when changing the order of the icons.
+ #559584: does not build on GNOME 2.25 Patch by Migi.
+ #551786: applet still uses deprecated gnome-stock-about icon
  instead of gtk-about. Patch by Pacho Ramos.
  * Fixes FTBFS due to libgnome-desktop-2-7 -> libgnome-desktop-2-11
transition. (LP: #309529)
  * debian/control:
   - Drop depricated libgnome-desktop-dev Build Dependency.
   - Add versionized Build Dependency on libgtk2.0-dev (>= 2.14.0)
   - Add Build Dependency on gnome-doc-utils (>= 0.4.2)
  * Drop debian/patches/20_dbus_session_bus_address.diff
   - Included upstream.
  * debian/quick-lounge-applet.install: update for new release

[Bug 272779] Re: evolution's documentation should be split in locale packages to save space

2009-02-14 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
I'm going to take a shot at this as discussed with seb128 in #ubuntu-
desktop.

evolution (2.25.90-0ubuntu3) jaunty; urgency=low

  * debian/control:
   - Split documentation into seperate locale packages.
   - Replace Recommends on yelp in evolution-common with
 evolution-documentation which is Provided by the
 evolution-documentation-{*} packages.
   - Make evolution-documentation-{*} Depend on yelp and
 Recommend evolution-documentation-en and
 evolution-documentation-common (which contains the C locale)
 as fall backs.
  * Create evloution-documentation-{common, cs, de, el, en,
es, fr, mk, oc, ru, and sv}.install files.

[Bug 330341] [NEW] Please upgrade evolution-exchange to 2.25.91

2009-02-16 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution-data-server

Evolution-Data-Server 2.25.91 2009-02-16

Updated Translations:
* bg.po: Updated Bulgarian translation by (bg)
Chao-Hsiung Liao (zh)
 Clytie Siddall (vi)
Daniel Nylander (sv)
Duarte Loreto (pt)
Gabor Kelemen (hu)
Inaki Larranaga Murgoitio (eu)
Jiri Eischmann (cs)

Bug Fixes:
#266147 : Verify signature of the encrypted text, if any. (Milan Crha)
#534938 : Remember which IDs we added to the folder and ignore these in
report of recent messages, because we know about them already. (Milan Crha)
#555888 : Use proxy configurable within Evolution.
#567861 : Two sources also differ when one has set color_spec and the
other not. (Milan Crha)
#569459 : Revert back to including . This is what is
suggested by the upstream folks. Since libical.pc (in 0.43) has a problem with
its CFlags, make necessary adjustments. (Suman Manjunath)
#570653 : Kill n_std_folders and use G_N_ELEMENTS (std_folders)
instead. (Matthew Barnes)
#571726 : Fix a translatable string typo. Does not break string freeze.
(Matthew Barnes)
#571761 : Stop using deprecated GtkType macros. (Matthew Barnes)

Other contributions:
AC_HELP_STRING instead of AS_HELP_STRING which doesn't work for me at
least... And the file uses AC_HELP_STRING in all other places already anyway.
(Tor Lillqvist)
Fix -Wold-style-definition warnings (Andre Klapper)
Expose the right CFLAGS for libical headers. (Suman Manjunath)
Use correct server parameter for getting folder information (Sankar P)

[Bug 86796] Re: Ubuntu Key Server not in Seahorse default config

2008-11-27 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
Looking at the .deb file for seahorse-plugins, it is definitely
installing the schemas. But it is also passing the --disable-schemas-
install flag in debian/rules. Strange

Any ideas?

[Bug 309529] Re: Rebuild for libgnome-desktop-2-7 -> libgnome-desktop-2-11 transition (reversenbs)

2008-12-19 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
libgnomeui/gnome-ditem-edit.h has been removed from libgnome-desktop-2,
this causes the FTBFS with quick-lounge-applet. Upstream bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=559584

I attempted to resolve this by shipping gnome-ditem-edit.h as a patch
with quick-lounge-applet. I placed it in /src and changed the includes
in the files that call it from:

#include

to:

#include "gnome-ditem-edit.h"

This allowed me get past the previous build error, but then I hit this:

/tmp/buildd/quick-lounge-applet-2.12.5/src/quick-lounge.c:795: undefined

Merging from Debian experimental and adding a build-dep on libgconf2-dev
fixes the nautilus-open-terminal issue. It now builds in a Jaunty
pbuilder correctly.

[Bug 259945] Re: 'Volume Control > Help' fails with: The requested URI "ghelp:///gnome-volume-control" is invalid

2008-12-29 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
@ Sebastien

You closed the upstream report saying that "the bug is a gnome-volume-
control one and a packaging issue not a code bug." Yet you never
mentioned what the specific issue is. I'd be happy to try and fix this
if you could please point me to where the issue lays.

The files seem to be correctly installed to /usr/share/gnome/help/gnome-
volume-control

transition. (LP: #309529)
  * Fix FTBFS due to libgnome-desktop transition.

+ pkg-config --cflags gnome-desktop-2.0 doesn't implicitly include
