[Bug 309888] [NEW] Power management causes stuck mouse pointer on certain SDL games with Intel GPU
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager On my "Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c)", the mouse pointer gets stuck in the middle of the screen and can't be moved when playing certain SDL games like Kobo Deluxe, Heroes, Secret Maryo Chronicles in full screen. The only way to fix the problem is to disable power management (via the inhibitor panel applet) or killing the daemon. The bug mainly seems to affect SDL games that don't use the mouse. I am using Ubuntu Intrepid with GNOME 2.24 as the desktop. I have a workaround for this bug for the time being! Go into CompizConfig Settings Manager, enable the Window Rules plug-in, and put "type=desktop" under "Sticky" and "Below".
