No, it does not.

As reported originally I use Asus Eeepc 1000H (Ubuntu remix product branch
for netbooks). Hibernation is triggered by closing the cover -> hibernation
event is generated.

- button "shutdown the computer" -> "Hibernate option" selected -> pc is in 
hibernate state. 
- Resume -> no lock screen is shown. 
Actually the same problem happens if I select hibernation manually from shut 
down menu.
