[Bug 2007652] Re: [SRU] PWA don't launch as applications, just another chromium window

2025-03-03 Thread Treviño
I've re-uploaded it with 42.9-0ubuntu2.3 version... In these cases I
actually like more 42.9-0ubuntu3~22.04.1, but I didn't bother for now.

[Bug 2100760] [NEW] Sendto fails to attach files to emails (24.04)

2025-03-03 Thread Randy Dandy O
Public bug reported:

Hello,

Context :
I am on a fresh new install on a laptop. All packages up-to-date.
- Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
- Shotwell 0.32.6 (0.32.6)
- Thunderbird 128.7.1esr
- nautilus-sendto 3.8.6

I try to select a picture in shotwell and use the sendto command from
the menu (right-click on the picture) to send the picture per email.

The resizing dialog shows as expected.

As a result, Thunderbird opens a new email but does not attach the file.
Instead the new email shows "Send files per Mail: P217_1.JPG" in the
subject of the email.

This happens with one or more selected pictures and with or without
resizing.

On the other hand, If I use nautilus-sendto from the command line with a
picture file path, the whole process works correctly. (i am not sure if
that is the command that is used by shotwell but I assume it is)

Can anybody reproduce that ?

Cheers,

R.

[Bug 2099727] Re: gnome-keyring-daemon crashed with SIGABRT in ???()

2025-03-03 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read 'How to report bugs effectively'
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.

At a minimum, we need:

1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem.
2. The behavior you expected.
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Please also ensure that you include the release and flavour of Ubuntu
that you are using.

Thank you!

Could you create a new test user on the system (from the 'users' panel

[Bug 2099866] Re: Nautilus file manager crashed while using location bar

2025-03-03 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal
with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report
a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport
in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus
and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report
you wish to submit.

If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a
terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

[Bug 2100655] [NEW] Second monitor shows only cursor visible when using Wayland with Nouveau driver - Switching to Xorg solved issue

2025-03-03 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Your hardware: HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF with NVIDIA GT 620

Ubuntu version: 24.04

The issue: Second monitor works only with cursor visible when using
Wayland with Nouveau driver

The solution that worked: Switching to Xorg by setting
WaylandEnable=false in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf

The error message I found: "nouveau :01:00.0: gr: DATA_ERROR
009c [] ch 5 [003f9dd000 gnome-shell[2932]] subc 0 class 9197 mthd
0d78 data 0004"

Suggest that Ubuntu might want to improve detection of these older NVIDIA cards
and automatically switch to Xorg or provide a notification to users
experiencing the issue.

[Bug 2080698] Re: Dragging a window can cause full framebuffer damage

I can verify in mutter 46.2-1ubuntu0.24.04.6, that when dragging a
window the damage is constrained to the window itself plus the shadow
around the window.

@jackyclee: yes you should be able to validate the issue by enabling
noble-proposed, then

sudo apt install -t noble-proposed gir1.2-mutter-15 libmutter-15-0
mutter-common mutter-common-bin

I am now validating this issue

[Bug 2090824] Re: mutter crashes on Ubuntu 24.04 while playing Among Us with meta_wayland_pointer_constraint_deactivate

2025-03-03 Thread Yao Wei
In noble I am able to verify with mutter 46.2-1ubuntu0.24.04.6 the crash
does not happen using the webpage supplied in the attachment, which does
requestPointerLock() call to lock the pointer.

I would like to confirm the expected behavior is that when the screen is
touched, the pointer lock is lifted so when moving the mouse the pointer
would appear?

Also, I'm not exactly sure of the root cause of the bug. However, I've
seen similar complaints and saw that it may be a gnome issue.

Those tags were for comments #5 and #6 but have since been removed.
Please open a new bug if you would still like to track that other issue.
In fact, please always report your own new bug instead of joining
someone else's because it risks causing confusion like it did here.

After:

make sure you have logged out and in again. If the problem still happens
after logging in again then next I would try removing one monitor to see
if that's what's confusing the allocation logic.
