[Bug 2087831] Re: [SRU] On a laptop with NVIDIA graphics and touchscreen, touchscreen gets disabled after resume from suspend in Xorg session

2025-02-16 Thread Viral Wang
Hi Daniel and Yao,

Sorry for jumping into this issue.

Given that the issue affects all touch screens with nVidia GPUs, we may
need to fix for ODM platforms with the combination. Since many OEM
platforms are starting QA testing for the new generation GPU in March,
do you think we can complete the SRU to fix this issue before the OEM QA
testing begins?

Thank you again for the support.

2025-02-16 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Leaving a trail behind means that gnome-shell doesn't know it's meant to
be painting any wallpaper. So that does sound related to monitor issues.

Just to make sure it's not caused by another bug we have in progress,
please try:

  gnome-extensions disable d...@rastersoft.com

and log in again.

Please also try *without* the HDMI monitor connected. It looks like it's
configured to mirror the laptop display... is that because the laptop
lid is closed?

[Bug 2097620] Re: anomal blinking of a cursor in terminal

2025-02-16 Thread Egmont Koblinger
"a cursor starts to blink rapidly when the cursor is [...]" -- so is
this another cursor, not _the_ normal cursor? Is it another one of the
same shape elsewhere (where?), or a different shape?

By "cursor", it seems to me that you mean the mouse pointer, and not the
terminal's text insertion rectangle cursor; correct?

A short video (possibly recorded by an external camera, mobile phone)
could help us see much better what's going on.

Based on how I imagine it so far, I suspect an X.org video driver
problem.
