that I think will be in Gnome 3.26. Maybe the scaling-factor setting

[Bug 1672424] Re: Cannot install Debian files outside of the repositories

2017-08-28 Thread John Steeves
It used to work with Ubuntu 16.04, but after updating to 16.04.3 and the latest
software updates (with the newest version of gnome-software) the issue has
re-appeared again. I can't install any .deb packages anymore.
I was able to replicate this issue on 2 clean VMs, so it's not just my computer.

Thank you for your bug report, what's your issue with libunity exactly? It's a
small library, it was used in 16.10 as well and it doesn't change the UI, it
just makes nautilus send informations to the system so the unity launcher can
display extra informations.

[Bug 1713488] [NEW] Change click-action from "cycle-windows" to "previews"

2017-08-28 Thread Csaba Nemethi
Public bug reported:

Version 60 of Dash to Dock added "previews" to the supported click-
action values. IMHO, this new value is far more user-friendly than all
the others, for the following reasons:

1. If an application has at least 2 open windows then a single left-
click enables the user to choose the window to be brought on top.

2. For users with Windows background this is much more intuitive than
the "cycle-windows" behaviour, which doesn't offer any choice.

3. The "previews" mode behaves just like Alt-Tab: The user can see
previews of all open windows of the application if there are more than
one, and thus he can choose the desired window.

Change request: Set click-action to "previews" rather than "cycle-
windows".

Ubuntu Artful Aardvark (development branch), release 17.10.

would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a

I only see one menu with 4 squares (I meanwhile switched to Xfce desktop
and nautilus might have different icons, but the attached screenshot
should clarify this statement) which I use to set the sorting.

[Bug 1713547] [NEW] Evince resizes window every time it's opened

2017-08-28 Thread reprisal
Public bug reported:

Windows 7 X86
Evince 2.32.0.145

Hello,

I tried to find the report forum for the Windows version but it does not
seem to exist.

Every time Evince is closed it resizes itself to a default 1/4 monitor
size rather then staying at a static size that I set in the previous
session before closing. This is quite frustrating as I otherwise find
the program perfect for my needs.

Please tell me how to fix this so that it performs like all other
programs where I'm able to set the window size I need and it remains
that way every time I open it.

If need be, I have no problem using a hex editor to make changes to the
code. Just tell me what I need to add where and I can do it.

Thank you.

[Bug 1640741] Re: ubuntu 17.04 gnome-software install button not working

2017-08-28 Thread Ruben
Confirmed not fixed on gnome-software 3.22.7. Please fix. Software
center is one of the first apps people use after installing Ubuntu. It
now feels as if Ubuntu "doesn't work" right off the bat.
