[Bug 1589605] Re: evolution-calendar-factory uses lots of memory
Hi @seb128 , I have tried disabling my three online Google accounts and the subprocess disappears altogether. As soon as I re-enable one account with few Google Agenda items, it comes back with ~ 50 Mio. When I enable the main account that has a good many Google Agenda items, the subprocess starts to happily eat away at its 300+ Mio. So the obvious workaround now is to disable GMail and Calendar synchronization in System parameters/Online accounts (see attached screenshot). Concerning the putative memory leak (the subprocess does indeed eat away at more and more memory as time goes by), this would include compiling evolution-calendar-factory-subprocess with MemCheck, wouldn't it? [Bug 1590052] [NEW] juju deploy brings up interfaces in wrong order
Public bug reported: Hi. Upon using "juju bootstrap" for maas environment, deploying first machine get stuck, if machine have only bond interface. I would seem that problem is with add-juju-bridge.py script, which is responsible for changing interfaces file, and bringing them up. In this script, you have: [snip] ifquery = "$(ifquery --interfaces={} --exclude=lo --list)".format(args.filename) print(" Original configuration") print_shell_cmd("cat {}".format(args.filename)) print_shell_cmd("ifconfig -a") print_shell_cmd("ifdown --exclude=lo --interfaces={} {}".format(args.filename, ifquery)) print(" Activating new configuration") with open(args.filename, 'w') as f: print_stanzas(stanzas, f) f.close() print_shell_cmd("cat {}".format(args.filename)) print_shell_cmd("ifup --exclude=lo --interfaces={} {}".format(args.filename, ifquery)) print_shell_cmd("ip link show up") print_shell_cmd("ifconfig -a") print_shell_cmd("ip route show") print_shell_cmd("brctl show") [snip] Problem here is how "ifquery --interfaces={} --exclude=lo --list" returns list of interfaces. If we assume interfaces: bond0 eth0 eth1 sometimes, ifquery will return "bond0 eth0 eth1", and feed this to ifup. Ifup will first try to bring up bond0 - and wait for it! Since nobody will bring up eth0 or eth1 - this waits until infinity. Possible solutions: 1. change add-juju-bridge.py to first bring up ordinary interfaces, then other ones 2. change ifenslave to internally call "ifup " before entering endless loop I'm on trusty (14.4.04 LTS): juju-core 1.25.5-0ubuntu3~14.04.1 ifenslave 2.4ubuntu1.2 Regards, H. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: add-juju-bridge.py bootstrap ifenslave juju stuck ** Tags added: add-juju-bridge.py bootstrap ifenslave juju stuck -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1590052 Title: juju deploy brings up interfaces in wrong order To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1590052/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1590115] [NEW] [SRU] Adding app to app folders is broken
Public bug reported: [Impact] GNOME Shell introduced "app folders" in 3.8 (Ubuntu 13.10) with the default "Sundry" and "Utilities" folders, but there was not an easy way to configure them until now. (See http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2013/05/add-categories-to-gnome-shell-dashboard for the complicated way.) GNOME Software has built-in support for editing app folders but this feature doesn't work in the 3.20 version. Although the feature is hard- to-find unless you know it's there from reading a guide on the internet, it's a nice improvement for Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 LTS. These app folders are not used by Unity, LXDE or XFCE. [Test Case] 0. Install the Software update, then log out and log back in to be sure the old gnome-software is not running in the background. 1. From Ubuntu GNOME (or at least from GNOME Shell), run the Software app. 2. Switch to the Installed tab. 3. Click the checkbox icon in the toolbar. 4. Select Aisleriot Solitaire 5. Click Add to Folder... 6. Click the + button and add a folder named Games. Click Add. 7. Click Add. 8. Open the Activities Overview. 9. In the bottom left, click the Show Applications button. 10. In the bottom center, click the All button. 11. Scroll down. You should see a Games folder with Aisleriot inside it. [Regression Potential] The patch to fix this comes from GNOME, where it was cherry-picked to the GNOME 3.20 branch (after 3.20.3). The patch only touches the add-folder code which is only used for this feature. Since the feature is completely broken currently, the regression potential is very low. https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome- software/commit/?h=gnome-3-20&id=53e8e0842f28533c1df3a1504191182a67e9c963 ** Affects: gnome-software Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: xenial ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #764437 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=764437 ** Also affects: gnome-software via https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=764437 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1590115 Title: [SRU] Adding app to app folders is broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-software/+bug/1590115/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1590279] [NEW] language is filtered in lock-screen's language selector
Public bug reported: After installing Ubuntu 16.04 I've changed text entry settings to contain two languages as follows: 1) Korean (Hangul)(IBus) 2) Russian Korean IM can produce both - English (default) & Hangul characters, so having one more English (US) is not needed and confusing. When the screen is locked by pressing Super+L or automatically after timeout, language selector contains just one item - Russian, which is totally useless to enter normal passwords. So the screen is effectively locked out without the possibility to unlock the session. I would expect to see Korean IM with Hangul character composing disabled, or at least English (US) temporarily added to the list instead of Korean, if it must be filtered out.
