Hi,

For how to drop into the emergency mode, I just add a nonexistent
partition item, something like

/dev/nonexistent1 /nonexistent1xfs defaults 1 2

then reboot the system. So systemd won't find the device and will drop
into emergency mode.

thanks.

Hi,

I connect to a dell port replicator and I get the error attached every
day, if not attached I get no error. Also twice a day the screen to the
right just starts turning off and on, if you disable in display settings
and on again it fixes it. Annoying but better than Windows rubbishy 10

Cheers,

[Bug 1564426] [NEW] Import problem - Spanish (es) - glib20 in Ubuntu Xenial package "glib2.0"

2016-03-31 Thread Greg Mason
Public bug reported:

Looks like there was an accidental word-wrap problem in po/es.po.

Line 13 is really the end of line 12. I've included a patch to send
upstream.

Here's a copy of the email that IS has been getting for a while now:

Hello Launchpad Translations Administrators,

On 2016-03-18 13:50z (12 days 14 hours 16 minutes ago), you uploaded a
file with Spanish (es) translations for glib20 in Ubuntu Xenial package
"glib2.0" to Launchpad.

We were unable to import the file because of errors in its format:

Line 13: Invalid content: u', 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016.'

If you use gettext, you can check your file for correct formatting with
the 'msgfmt -c' command. Please fix any errors raised by msgfmt and
upload the file again. If you check the file and you don't find any
error in it, please look for an answer or file a question at
https://answers.launchpad.net/rosetta/

For your convenience, you can get the file you uploaded at:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/250464407/es.po

Thank you,

The Launchpad team

Once you can match the username it's just a matter of:
gs_review_set_flags (review, GS_REVIEW_FLAG_SELF)

And GNOME Software will handle the UI for everything.

[Bug 1564209] Re: Doesn't recognise own reviews

2016-03-31 Thread Rodney Dawes
For click packages we compare consumer_key == reviewer_username. It
seems the old API however returns LP usernames for some people, which of
course won't match the consumer_key.

If we could change the old API on the server to also always return
consumer_key in the reviewer_username field, then the gnome-software
plug-in could use this same tactic. The only major concern here is if it
will break software-center for 14.04 users.

[Bug 1564209] Re: Doesn't recognise own reviews

2016-03-31 Thread Rodney Dawes
It sounds like changing reviewer_username to always be the consumer_key
value, as we have for click reviews, would be the best route, and would
not really break software-center (which is already somewhat broken in
how it does this anyway).

With this suggested change, a fairly small change could be SRUed to
software-center as well, which would even make the software-center
experience better than it currently is, as it currently only recognizes
reviews from you, after you've submitted a review and it's cached your
username which it read from the response, into its config file (which is
of course breaks on re-installs or when going to a different machine).

[Bug 1564209] Re: Doesn't recognise own reviews

2016-03-31 Thread Michael Nelson
@fgallina or @kelvin: Can you check the background for these decisions.
I'm not 100% but from memory RnR used to use the SSO (well, LP) username
when it has one for the user (as SSO users don't always have a username,
it depends whether they have an LP account), so I don't know that we can
provide a username consistently. But in Robert's case I'd imagine it's
for a user who certainly does have a username (his own account?)

The only consistent options I can imagine are:
 1) always return the consumer key - @Robert - can you use that instead to
identify (sorry, I don't know the background), and will this break anything
(doubt it, if they're not broken already - if it does currently return either)
 2) add a separate consumer_key which always has the consumer key.

Rodney is keen for (1) so that it's consistent with the click rnr api:

21:47 < noodles> dobey: could you use a different key from the result, I mean
if consumer_key was added separately?
21:48 < dobey> noodles: well i think we should match what we're doing for
click; and i think software-center might be doing this comparison already anyway
21:57 < dobey> noodles: so, imo, always returning the consumer_key value for
everyone in reviewer_username there, would be best
21:59 < noodles> dobey: Right, but that's exactly what Robert *doesn't* want,
unless he could also identify with the consumer key?
21:59 < dobey> noodles: he can identify with the consumer key

[Bug 1487819] Re: Wily user UI shows auto-login off after selecting on during install

2016-03-31 Thread Erick Brunzell
In Wily if you set auto login to on during installation the first boot
would ask for a password. Then if you checked the user UI in System
Settings it said it was turned on but it wasn't. So if you toggled it
off, then rebooted, then opened the user UI again and toggled it on the
auto login would begin working.

In Xenial it just doesn't work at all.

I didn't change my profile preferences so why would I think the problem

At least now I know to investigate the preferences before opening a

[Bug 1564209] Re: Doesn't recognise own reviews

2016-03-31 Thread Robert Ancell
In GNOME Software we have the consumer key and matching the click
behaviour (only returning consumer key in reviewer_username) is ideal.
At dobeys suggestion we'll make GNOME Software match reviewer_username
== consumer_key which will work for the majority of users and a later
server side fix will work for everyone.

Thanks!

[Bug 1564716] [NEW] Nautilus: Different response when clicking minimized Nautilus with Mouse vs Touchpad.

2016-03-31 Thread Idad
Public bug reported:

I want to ask something,

I have already observed this strange behaviour since Ubuntu 13.04.

I know I can Maximize Apps in Unity Launcher (which is opened and
minimized) with Mouse Scroll Up and Also Clicking it (if it was not
multiple instance, as multiple instance will evoke select windows
behavior).

This problem was limited to Nautilus only.

When trying to maximized a Single Nautilus in minimized size, there are
different response when clicking the Icon in launcher between Mouse
Click and Tapping Touchpad.

- With touchpad, the Nautilus is Maximized,
- With Mouse Click the nautilus is not consistent between Maximizing the
MInimized Nautilus and sometimes Creating a new Nautilus window (the minimized
one still minimized).

As Example:
A one single Nautilus Apps is opened and minimized in Launcher:
- Touchpad Left Click --> Maximize the Nautilus
- Mouse Left Click --> Open another Nautilus , now I get 2 Nautilus

I have posted this similar question in AskUbuntu
(http://askubuntu.com/questions/720342/clicking-minimize-apps-to-maximize-it-in-unity-launcher-with-mouse-and-touchpad)
but i got no answer, so I confuse is this a really bug or not. What makes me
consider this is a bug, I never experienced this case in older version of
Ubuntu (< 13.04). This problem occurs since ubuntu 13.04 and newer.

This is my first time reporting a bug. If I am in worng place to report
this, or perhaps I should report this to Nautilus developer, please
guide me to do it.

Many thanks in Adnvance :D

PS: This problem was limited to Nautilus since 15.10. When using Ubuntu

clicking it with mouse vs touchpad, which the Apps are minimized in
