[Bug 1295670] Re: Nautilus doesn't save items view

2015-06-18 Thread Tamir
I agree, I even think such a function (save items view) was very
helpful, as it adds to the flexibility of the file manager. Maybe create
a separate report card with a request to add this feature in Nautilus?

[Bug 1466245] Re: Update to 3.16

2015-06-18 Thread Tim
Hey Robert,
   Thanks for working on this, yes we want g-c-c and in fact most other core
bits updated to 3.16 asap. I think we will try land it all in one hit like we
did last cycle, hopefully in the next week we can have all the merges ready.

btw pretty sure I updated 52_region_langugage in the package in
gnome3-staging ppa (possibly in vivid, not sure they have been copied to
wiley yet.)

Actually, that function was in nautilus till ubuntu 12.10 I think. I found
the most simple way to restore habitable functionality by installing Nemo

[Bug 1466408] [NEW] "Help" > "Frequently Asked Questions"/"Report a Problem…" go to 404 pages

2015-06-18 Thread Matthew Paul Thomas
Public bug reported:

Shotwell 0.18.0, Ubuntu 14.04

1. Choose "Help" > "Frequently Asked Questions" or "Report a Problem…".

What happens: Your browser opens a 404 page with an odd error message: "There
isn't a GitHub Pages site here." Well, no there isn't, but there isn't what I
was looking for either.

What should happen: You see Frequently Asked Questions and a problem-
reporting form, respectively.

The relevant pages seem to have been moved to wiki.gnome.org:

So this can probably fixed more easily, and for more users, by setting
up redirects on redmine.yorba.org than by changing the Shotwell package.

This is a regression of bug 1179186.

[Bug 1466210] Re: don't gzip gtkdoc's devhelp2 files

2015-06-18 Thread Stefan Sauer
After some IRC discusison with mbiebl from debian and pochu:

some package install the docs in /usr/share/doc/$pkg/ and symlink it to
/usr/share/gtk-doc and for files in /usr/share/doc/, dh_installdocs
applies it's compression, the installation creates symlinks so that the
docs are found by gtk-doc. Some packages have exception rules to deal

[Bug 868358] Re: Hibernate hotkey (fn + ...) triggers suspend to ram

2015-06-18 Thread Eriks Dobelis
I can confirm this on 15.04 and T420. Initially both sleep and hibernate
buttons sent computer to sleep. Changing suspend value in
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power did not change anything. Changing sleep
value to hibernate made both buttons to send to hibernate.
Evtest shows that sleep button is sleep, and hibernate button is suspend.

[Bug 1462664] Re: [Ubuntu Phone] With WIFI = ON the GPS stops

2015-06-18 Thread Ilonka
Hi all!

I did also some tests and want to post my results:

I test GPS signal with WIFI = ON and location service = OFF -> Then you
got no GPS signal in the Apps Here, Sensor Status, GPS Navigation

GPS signal WIFI = Off and location service = OFF -> NO GPS signal in all
three Apps

WIFI = ON and location service = ON -> GPS Signal was online but it
freezed sometimes in all three Apps. Actual GPS Signal only after
restart of the Apps. I also recognized that NearBy Scope showed that I
should be on a place which was about 250km away.

WIFI = OFF and location service = ON -> GPS Signal was activ all the
time, GPS Navigation App wasn't freezed

I tested it with a BQ Aquaris 4.5 Ubuntu 15.04 (r23)

[Bug 1466252] Re: Update to 3.16

2015-06-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package totem - 3.16.1-2ubuntu1

---
totem (3.16.1-2ubuntu1) wily; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release (LP: #1466252)
  * Merge with Debian, remaining Ubuntu changes:
  * debian/control.in:
- Drop build-depends on libepc-ui-dev (in universe)
- Drop libxtst-dev build-depends so that the (redundant) fake key presses
  for inhibiting the screensaver are disabled (LP: #1007438)
- Build-depend on libzeitgeist-dev
- Suggest rather than recommend gstreamer components in universe
- Add totem-plugins-extra
- Don't recommend gnome-settings-daemon from the plugins any more; it's not
  right to pull in desktop integration bits by default.
- Switch gnome-icon-theme to adwaita-icon-theme, which is its successor.
- Use ubuntu-desktop vcs
- Use Python 3
- Switch from appdata-tools to libappstream-glib-dev, appstream-util
- Add build-dep on libicu-dev
  * debian/rules:
- Build with --fail-missing, to ensure we install everything.
  + Ignore libtotem.{,l}a since we delibrately don't install these.
- Binary install override for totem-plugins-extra
- Enable buildflags script
- Use Python 3
- Remove obsolete --disable-vegas-plugin
- Enable GTK+ Doc
  * debian/totem-common.install, debian/source_totem.py:
- Install Ubuntu apport debugging hook
  * debian/totem-plugins-extra.install:
- Universe plugins split out of totem-plugins (currently only gromit)
  * debian/totem-plugins.install:
- Skip the plugins split to -extra and add the zeitgeist plugin
  * debian/patches/0001-Add-a-traditional-menubar.patch:
- Add a traditional menubar
  * debian/patches/correct_desktop_mimetypes.patch:
- Don't list the mimetypes after the unity lists
  * debian/patches/91_quicklist_entries.patch:
- Add static quicklist
  * debian/patches/ubuntu-grilo-filesystem.patch:
- Use grl-filesystem if tracker is not available
  * debian/patches/ubuntu-use-traditional-titlebars.patch:
- Use traditional titlebars on !GNOME
  *
debian/patches/0001-totem-open-location-Respect-gtk-dialogs-use-header-s.patch:
- Respect gtk-dialogs-use-header setting
  *
debian/patches/0002-preferences-Respect-gtk-dialogs-use-header-setting.patch:
- Respect gtk-dialogs-use-header setting
  *
debian/patches/0003-totem-movie-properties-Respect-gtk-dialogs-use-heade.patch:
- Respect gtk-dialogs-use-header setting
  * debian/patches/disable-thumbnail-caching:
- Don't save bookmark thumbnails back to grilo, a bug there means that this
  duplicates the bookmark.
