[Bug 1277641] Re: German keyboard layout loses tilde dead key
I understand that people who do not write texts with "ã", "ñ" etc. rather like to type "~" directly, e.g., in path names or LaTeX source. [Bug 1309918] Re: Upgrading Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 leads to broken logins
Hello, there is nothing to find in the dash, but the folders and files still exist and i can find them in the console. But that is not the Problem. The Problem is to login as one of the users. Of course, I don't want other users to login to my local account (administrator) to use their files (documents and so on). This would propably not even be possible in any simple way if I had the home folders encrypted on that computer. 1st: I'd expect all accounts to still exist after upgrading. 2nd: If I have to manually create "new" accounts, which than use the old home folders, I'd exspect the OS to let the user login to their accounts and not preventing the user from using the system at all. [Bug 1062204] Re: Move to Trash contect menu item does not move files to trash
I can confirm this bug is still there in Ubuntu 14.04, with Rhythmbox 3.0.2. @Caio Alonso You are right, Nautilus does not allow to move a file to the trash from another partition. But it is hard to believe that this behavior in Rhythmbox is intentional. (It's just that they didn't think about that.) To the end user it will only be perceived as a bug, which is moreover very unconvenient as the user has to manually delete the file from Nautilus (or in command line). Plus, when trying to move a file to trash in Nautilus, it asks you if you want to delete it immediately, so your intention to remove the file is finally achieved. Rhythmbox should at least give the option to remove a file immediately, just like Nautilus. ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1062204 Title: Move to Trash contect menu item does not move files to trash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1062204/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1310390] [NEW] nautilus showing hidden files by default, does not retain view setting
Public bug reported: Summary: Since 14.04, the nautilus file manager is always showing hidden items when I open it. The setting can be changed, but reverts when I close the app so the next time I use it it again defaults to showing hidden items. And the new setting persists when nautilus is closed and later re-launched (or in future sessions). Current behavior: nautilus defaults to SHOWING hidden files and folders.
