[Bug 1071759] Re: Can't create new archives in mounted samba shares
As suggested by a file-roller developer, I tried to create new archives in the samba share from other applications. It showed that Nautilus has no problems in creating new folders and files from templates. Then, I also tried saving a new file directly from Libreoffice Writer, Calc and Impress, Gimp, Eye of Gnome, Evince, Shotwell, Firefox, Thunderbird and PDFmod all from Quantal repositories. Only saving from Shotwell and Evince worked. All others returned an I/O error, like file-roller does. Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird and PDFmod report that they can't use a remote directory instead. So, if the bug is not really in file-roller, I'm going to file a new bug here. [Bug 423825] Re: gnome-terminal is sluggish when scrolling
I experience the same issue. After system boot, everything is speedy. Opening some treminals (3-5) with maybe 5-10 tabs each, the system gets very sluggish. Only a few of them actually has a lot of output (tail log files, and debug output from programs). Just bought an Intel SSD disk, so this should not be a disk IO issue. gnome-termimal process uses 400MiB Memory. Killing gnome-terminal makes the system fast again. Eveything is slow, scrolling in Firefox, changing tabs, even writing in this text field is slow. [Bug 1083136] [NEW] Rhythmbox cannot rip CD to MP3
Public bug reported: When trying to rip a CD to MP3 "Extract to library", I get a message stating that required libraries are missing. Trying to install these libraries fail - in the attached pictures, it would want to install i386 libs on and AMD64 machine, and the install button is greyed out - but on an i386 machine, it simply says that required libs don't exist... [Bug 1003461] [NEW] Print dialog doesn't display the status message for printers correct
You have been subscribed to a public bug: The normal print dialog doesn't show the correct status for printers instead it displays some random characters. Firefox and Thunderbird show the correct status which in my case would be: Printer 'Dell-5350dn-DKinvoice' has no toner left. Printer 'Dell-5350dn-white' has no toner left. The characters I see in the print dialogs for eog or gedit for example change with every mouse move. It doesn't matter which window has the focus, the characters constantly change when moving the mouse. My setup is I have one pysical DELL 5350dn printer with 4 paper trays and to access them quickly I've installed 4 printers with the defaults sets to the individual trays. However out of those 4 only two show those messages, the other two don't show any status at all. Also in Friefox the other two don't say that it is out of toner. I've attached a screenshot of the dialog. Not sure if this is related to this bug or if it is seperate bug. For the printers with this status the Firefox/ Thunderbird print dialog doesn't display any printer icon. It should be the printer with the yellow/orange triangle with the "!" in it. ** Affects: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Print dialog doesn't display the status message for printers correct https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1003461 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 894496]
Do you mean google REST API interface, or the python unofficial API library? The first one is undocumented, so it doesn't have a license, but being a web service, I don't think you have to worry about license. The second isn't GPL, but again, we don't have to link against it (and actually, we can't, being python), so license shouldn't be an issue either.
