Bug#969717: libgl1-mesa-dri: Champions of Regnum display deteriorates after libgl1-mesa-dri upgrade to 20.1.7-1

2020-09-07 Thread VB
Package:libgl1-mesa-dri
Version: 20.1.7-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Occasionally the native linux 64-bit client of the mmorpg Champions of Regnum
becomes unuseable with a messed-up display (no/transparent walls, invisible
characters, grey backgrounds...) after a libgl1-mesa-dri upgrade.

Currently, the last working release is 20.0.7-1 and I have to revert and
downgrade to it as soon as I try a more recent release.

Downgrading only the following 5 packages solves the problem entirely.

aptitude:
[DOWNGRADE] libegl-mesa0:amd64 20.1.7-1 -> 20.0.7-1
[DOWNGRADE] libgbm1:amd64 20.1.7-1 -> 20.0.7-1
[DOWNGRADE] libgl1-mesa-dri:amd64 20.1.7-1 -> 20.0.7-1
[DOWNGRADE] libglapi-mesa:amd64 20.1.7-1 -> 20.0.7-1
[DOWNGRADE] libglx-mesa0:amd64 20.1.7-1 -> 20.0.7-1

Best regards,
VB

I only tried the 20.1.8 release from sid yet. No change, the problem has still
to be fixed. I will try from experimental then.

Bug#969717: libgl1-mesa-dri: Champions of Regnum display deteriorates after libgl1-mesa-dri upgrade to 20.1.7-1

2020-09-25 Thread VB
So I just tried with the version 20.2.x from experimental. Things are even
worse : the game crashes at once after login credentials have been entered
(segfault). I do not get the welcome screen where you can choose which one of
your character you want to play.

With sid version and other versions since 20.0.7-1 I get at least the
(deteriorated) welcome screen.

Sadly the error log generated from the game is only useable by the game devs...

VB

2020-12-10 Thread VB
Hi,

I don't know if the patch that has been worked out upstream is pulled in Debian
versions, but I tried 20.2.4-1 from unstable and 20.3.0-1 from experimental and
neither solve the problem... With these versions, the game keeps crashing
before the launch of the character selection screen and after entering the user
credentials.

Hi,

The last version currently in unstable, 20.3.3-1, solves the problem at last.
