Bug#829386: xorg: Xorg crashes

2016-07-02 Thread Jean-Philippe MENGUAL
Package: xorg
Version: 1:7.7+15
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Hi,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

I use testiNg, MATE, Orca 3.20. Lightdm.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

I did nothing. But randomly, after several minutes, X crashes.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Here's the log

2011-02-19 Thread Jean-Philippe MENGUAL
Hi,

Thanks Kibi. Changing /etc/modprobe.d/*kks.conf was fine. Now it works.
I had forgotten it was a built-by-user kernel; otherwise I'd asked
differently than via BTS.

Sincerely,

Dear Maintainer,

I'm wondering if the bug wouldn't be related to:
http://bugs.debian.org/834460

Additionally, I tried using the Intel driver as advice on IRC.I copied
xorg.conf from /usr/share/doc and intel xserver directory, but still the same
issue. Always random. But it a "crisis" time... it can be long.

Best regards,

Bug#952638: libx11-dev: Uninstallable due to conflict of installed files

2020-02-26 Thread Jean-Philippe MENGUAL
Package: libx11-dev
Version: 2:1.6.9-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Hi

Sorry for the noise, the problem may be due to my suystem, but I really dont
understand

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

I try to install build-deo orca
This package depends on x11proto-dev

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

apt build-dep orca

   * What was the outcome of this action?

libx1-dev does not install.
"Attemting to replace /usr/include/X11/extensions/XKBgeom.h which lelongs to
x11proto-dev too"

Strangely, apt-file search XKBgeom.h only reports it as being in x1proto-dev.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

*** End of the template - remove these template lines ***

Is that my status file broken? Or a bug here?

Thanks for your feedback

Best regards
