r300: fix reusing of color varying slots for generic ones

This was broken when I added texcoord support, the problem is that we
failed to properly count the number of used fs inputs and thus we failed
to make the proper decision when to reuse the color varying slot
Also fix the error messages, they were incorrect after the rewrite as
well. This fixes a bunch of piglits.

radv: Recompute max_waves after postprocessing RT config

The max waves for RT prolog need to be recalculated after merging the
resource usage of all shaders invoked from it.

Note that there is no need to panic, as the info was only used to
calculate maximum scratch size and with the RT prolog being low
footprint, this likely only caused overestimation rather than
underestimation.

Dear maintainer(s),

The Release Team considers packages that are out-of-sync between testing
and unstable for more than 30 days as having a Release Critical bug in
testing [1]. Your package src:mesa has been trying to migrate for 31
days [2]. Hence, I am filing this bug. The version in unstable build
depends on binaries from llvm-toolchain-17, which haven't been built on
mips64el yet (reported in bug 1056116).

If a package is out of sync between unstable and testing for a longer
period, this usually means that bugs in the package in testing cannot be
fixed via unstable. Additionally, blocked packages can have impact on
other packages, which makes preparing for the release more difficult.
Finally, it often exposes issues with the package and/or
its (reverse-)dependencies. We expect maintainers to fix issues that
hamper the migration of their package in a timely manner.

This bug will trigger auto-removal when appropriate. As with all new
bugs, there will be at least 30 days before the package is auto-removed.

I have immediately closed this bug with the version in unstable, so if
that version or a later version migrates, this bug will no longer affect
testing. I have also tagged this bug to only affect sid and trixie, so
it doesn't affect (old-)stable.

If you believe your package is unable to migrate to testing due to
issues beyond your control, don't hesitate to contact the Release Team.

Paul

It appears that rdp-backend and the screen-share module are disabled in the
Debain package. It would be nice if these were enabled.

Thanks

Package: weston
Version: 1.12.0-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

In Weston 1.10 and 1.11 (several minor revisions), and the new 1.12
package, I have a reproducable crash. In Firefox/Iceweasel (several
versions in the low 30s) and in SeaMonkey (several version, up to latest
beta), if I click and drag on an image, upon release, Weston crashes.

Current Cromium (55) and Chrome beta (56) do not have this issue with Weston
1.12. I believe they did have it with earlier Weston versions, which makes me
think it may be xwayland specific... with Weston 1.12 and recent Chrome,
it is Wayland native, but it did not work with 1.11 and 1.10 (console
messages about falling back to xwayland)

Weston 1.9 has no issues at all with image dragging in any browser.

Package: src:weston
Version: 10.0.0-1
Severity: minor
Tags: sid bookworm
User: debian-...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: ftbfs-lto

This package currently fails to build (at least on the amd64
architecture) with link time optimizations enabled. For a background
for LTO please see

https://wiki.debian.org/ToolChain/LTO

The goal is to enable this optimization by default in an upcoming
Debian release in dpkg-buildflags for 64bit architectures. The goal
is to get this package to build with link time optimizations, or to
explicitly disable link time optimizations for this package build.

To reproduce the build failure, enable the lto optimization in
testing/unstable by adding "optimize=+lto" to DEB_BUILD_MAINT_OPTIONS
in the debian/rules file, or if this macro is unset, just set it:

export DEB_BUILD_MAINT_OPTIONS = optimize=+lto

Please try to fix the build with lto enabled, fixing the packaging or
forwarding the issue upstream. If the issue cannot be fixed,
explicitly disallow building the package with lto by adding to your
rules file:

export DEB_BUILD_MAINT_OPTIONS = optimize=-lto

or adding that string to your existing setting of DEB_BUILD_MAINT_OPTIONS.

The full build log can be found at:
http://qa-logs.debian.net/2022/06/09/dpkglto/weston_10.0.0-1_unstable_dpkglto.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

Install some binaries in usr/libexec/ instead of usr/lib/*/

This is due to a change in debhelper compat 12 which relies on
the build system default to define --libexecdir, which should be
/usr/libexec (per FHS 3.0, adopted in Debian Policy 4.1.5).

Bug#1061110: xorg-server: Regression from fixes for CVE-2024-21886

2024-01-18 Thread Salvatore Bonaccorso
Source: xorg-server
Version: 2:21.1.11-1
Severity: important
Tags: upstream
X-Debbugs-Cc: car...@debian.org, jcris...@debian.org, a...@debian.org,
t...@security.debian.org

While preparing the update for xorg-server for bookworm an autopkgtest
regression in uqm was seen. The same is shown with the 2:21.1.11-1
upload to unstable:

https://ci.debian.net/packages/u/uqm/testing/amd64/41866714/

Julien Cristau was able to reproduce the leak independly from uqm:

Xvfb :10 & sleep 2; DISPLAY=:10 xdpyinfo >/dev/null

resulting in

1 XSELINUXs still allocated at reset
SCREEN: 0 objects of 304 bytes = 0 total bytes 0 private allocs
DEVICE: 0 objects of 88 bytes = 0 total bytes 0 private allocs
CLIENT: 0 objects of 144 bytes = 0 total bytes 0 private allocs
WINDOW: 0 objects of 48 bytes = 0 total bytes 0 private allocs
PIXMAP: 0 objects of 16 bytes = 0 total bytes 0 private allocs
GC: 0 objects of 16 bytes = 0 total bytes 0 private allocs
CURSOR: 1 objects of 8 bytes = 8 total bytes 0 private allocs

TOTAL: 1 objects, 8 bytes, 0 allocs
1 CURSOR_BITSs still allocated at reset
TOTAL: 0 objects, 0 bytes, 0 allocs

As per upstream commit bisection it seems that the first bad commit is
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/commit/26769aa71fcbe0a8403b7fb13b7c9010cc07c3a8
which is related for the CVE-2024-21886 fix.

Regards,
Salvatore

Package: mpv

Dear Maintainer,

* What led up to the situation?
Updated MPV to 0.29.1 from 0.28.2

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Tried to play a video file I have played many times before

* What was the outcome of this action?

MPV failed to play the file with the following error message:

* What outcome did you expect instead?
The video should have played

I went and got mpv 0.28.3 (and libsndio6.1) from the Debian snapshots and
installed it, video now plays fine again.

Considering that Weston is the reference implementation of a Wayland
compositor, and 5.0 is the latest release, this seems like a problem.

I did not attempt to use other -vo methods, they should not be needed.

Package: libweston-12-0
Version: 12.0.1-1
Severity: important
Tags: upstream

After upgrading my system sddm fails to start a wayland session with the
following error in .local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log:

weston: ../libweston/output-capture.c:398 weston_output_pull_capture_task:
Assertion `csi->width == width' failed.
Failed to process Wayland connection: Broken pipe
failed to create display: Broken pipe
Failed to process Wayland connection: Broken pipe
failed to create display: Broken pipe

This seems to match upstream bug
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/weston/-/issues/757 which is also
against weston 12.0 and has a fix. Hopefully this can be applied to the
Debian package.

Best regards,
Thomas
