Bug#994251: i386 baseline violation

2021-09-14 Thread Fanael Linithien
Package: mesa
Version: 21.2.1-2
Control: notfound -1 21.1.6-1
Control: found -1 21.2.0-1

The mesa DRI drivers (and possibly other binary packages I haven't
tested) appear to violate the i386 baseline by using SSE2
unconditionally, even if the host CPU doesn't support it (tested on a
Pentium III), which results in even the simplest programs like glxinfo
or glxgears crashing with SIGILL.

The solution is simple: rebuild the package with the meson option
"sse2" set to false, to follow the Debian baseline.

Bug#994276: xutils-dev: imake shouldn't pass l to ar

2021-09-14 Thread Samuel Thibault
Package: xutils-dev
Version: 1:7.7+5+b1
Severity: serious
Tags: patch
Justification: Makes xtel FTBFS

Hello,

xtel started failing to build in bullseye, e.g.
https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rbuild/unstable/amd64/xtel_3.3.0-24.rbuild.log.gz
“
ar clq libVideotex.a Videotex.o tvr_jpg.o tvr_hdr.o
ar: libdeps specified more than once
”

That's because imake passes clq to ar, but while the 'l' letter has been
ignored by ar for a long time, ar doesn't ignore it any more, and is
thus getting confused by imake passing it.

The attached patch fixes it by telling imask to use just "ar cq".

+Subject: [PATCH] makekeys: handle the new _EVDEVK xorgproto symbols
+
+These keys are all defined through a macro in the form:
+ #define XF86XK_BrightnessAuto _EVDEVK(0x0F4)
+
+The _EVDEVK macro is simply an offset of 0x10081000.
+Let's parse these lines correctly so those keysyms end up in our
+hashtables.
