Bug#832801: mv ~/.config/kdenliverc tmp works again!
New symptom: Positions within a kdenlive project's timeline and a clip's effects and transitions weren't synchronized. Same solution: $ mv ~/.config/kdenliverc tmp worked again! That's the good news. The bad news? The aptly named "debugger" (gdb) fixes [mlt_pool] out of memory Not by finding the bug. It just stops it from happening. So far. So, Kingsley -- Time is the fire in which we all burn.

Package: xorg Version: 1:7.7+19 Severity: serious Hi, Since upgrading to stretch, I can no longer switch to a VT - if I do Ctrl-Alt-F1 the mouse pointer briefly changes back to that of gdm3 (I think), then the entire machine locks up solid - unresponsive to ping or anything, and I have to power-cycle it.
