Bug#361661: xserver-xorg: segfault-invalid pointer

2006-04-09 Thread redomen
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6
Severity: important

Xorg segfaults on exit with:
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x08628838 ***

#5 0x080d6785 in main (argc=5, argv=0xbf9b9034, envp=0xffe0) at main.c:484

It also segfaults randomly after 15-20mins with:

#4 0x080d6785 in main (argc=5, argv=0xbf94d0b4, envp=0xffe0) at main.c:484

This has only started happening with Version 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6, had no problems
with previous versions.

Bug#337692: libx11-dev: _X_SENTINEL bug confirmed in unstable

2006-04-09 Thread Baptiste Carvello

Package: libx11-dev
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6
Followup-For: Bug #337692
Tags: - experimental

Hello,

I reproduced bug #337692 trying to build osgPlanet (from www.ossim.org)
on unstable. I tried upgrading libx11-dev, but this didn't pull a new
x-dev, even though I only had a very old version (4.3.0.dfsg.1-6). Later
on, upgrading x-dev to 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 solved the problem.

I wish to insist that this is no more a bug in experimental now. A quick
google search on '_X_SENTINEL debian' shows that many people waisted
their time with this bug. If it is really a simple depends, it should be
fixed ASAP.

Thanks,
BC

The calcomp_drv.o tablet driver as a timeout setting that is too short.

Bug#361748: version of Replaces too low?

2006-04-09 Thread Frank Lichtenheld
Package: x11proto-render-dev
Severity: serious

x11proto-render-dev currently has
Replaces: render-dev (<< 1:0.9.0-1)

but it at least shares the file ./usr/lib/pkgconfig/renderproto.pc
with the version of render-dev in testing/unstable which is 1:0.9.2-1.

Bug#361752: needs stricter libdmx build-dependency

2006-04-09 Thread Frank Lichtenheld
Package: xorg-server
Severity: serious

Building xorg-server failed for me with
checking for DMXEXAMPLES_DEP... configure: error: Package requirements (dmx
xext x11) were not met:

No package 'dmx' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables DMXEXAMPLES_DEP_CFLAGS
and DMXEXAMPLES_DEP_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

This is probably because libdmx-dev from sid was installed which
doesn't contain a pkg-config file but satisfies the unversioned
build-dependency.
