ANSWERS

1. Can I REALLY make money online with affiliate programs?

Yes you can! Thousands of average, everyday people just like
you and me are making a living online with the Internet and
affiliate programs. Read my article entitled 'Affiliate
Programs: Can I REALLY Make Money?' to learn more about the
ins and outs of making money with affiliate programs.

http://rosalindgardner.com/npc/2003-07-04.html#makemoney

2. How much does it cost to start an Internet or affiliate
marketing business?

Affiliate marketing has the lowest startup costs and the
highest potential earnings of any business that I know of.
Read more about how little it costs to start this business at:

http://rosalindgardner.com/npc/2003-06-06.html#costs

3. How much money can I make in the first month (6 months,
year) as an affiliate?

Because I don't know how much time and effort you can afford
to put into your site in the first month, that question is
virtually impossible to answer.

I also don't know what products you plan to promote, what
your site will look like, how your product endorsements are
written or what marketing methods you plan to use, OR how
much traffic you will get.

Even if I DID have all that information, I couldn't tell you
exactly how many of your visitors will become buyers.

It comes down to this...

It's up to each affiliate to make sure they promote products
that people want in a way that makes people want to buy
them.

4. Can you recommend a good web host, autoresponder
service, or ?

Well, of course I can! That's what I'm here to do... recommend
the best products available to make your job easier. So, I've
set up a site where I list my favorite products... ones that I
use in my own business every day. If you need a good web host,
autoresponder service, web templates or any one of more than a
hundred different products, you'll find them at:

http://RosalindGardner.com/resources/

5. Do I HAVE to learn HTML?

No, you don't. If you're absolutely sure that you want nothing
to do with that *nasty* HTML, you'll love SBI! It's the
best all-in-one site building tool available, IMHO.

http://buildit.sitesell.com/webvista.html

6. What should I sell?

That IS the unanswerable question... I don't know what you
like to do or what you are interested in. Even if I did, it
takes research to determine whether the products related to
your field of interest are also of interest to enough people
to be profitable.

However, there IS an easy way to find out!

I use nichefinder software..

http://www.nichemarketresearch.com/nf.php?r=nf711875

7. Will you review my web site?

Sure! I offer hour-long telephone consultations, and during
that time I can look at your site and we can discuss ways &
means to improve its profit potential. We can also discuss a
thousand other aspects of Internet business. It's up to you.

Bonus! Buyers of the Super Affiliate Handbook are entitled
to a $25 discount on consultations.

8. Can I pay for the Super Affiliate Handbook with PayPal?

Yes you can! I don't offer that link on the site directly
because it cheats my affiliates out of their fair share. If
you were sent to my site from another site, and then buy the
Handbook using PayPal, PLEASE let me know who sent you to my
site so that I can pay them their commission.

9. Are there other payment options besdies Clickbank and
PayPal?

At this time Clickbank and PayPal are the only 2 payment
options available. I'm sorry for the incovenience.

10. Is the Super Affiliate Handbook available as a REAL
book?

Bug#230204: xserver-xfree86: similar 'Unknown key released' problem

2004-03-21 Thread George Borisov
Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.3.0-7
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #230204

Hello,

I occasionaly(?) get this as well:

---
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x7a on
isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: This is an XFree86 bug. It shouldn't access hardware directly.
---

Have not noticed any specific effects though, apart from this message.
I'm running a Sony Vaio PCG-Z600LEK laptop.

Yes, they do. IIRC, Guillem helped out with the xev data from a pc105
keyboard (I don't own one, so that was tricky for me), and Ingo helped
with some proofreading, and told me how the GNOME keyboard applet
worked. :)

It seems the problem was elsewhere, because I have not upgraded the
package libx11-6 from version 4.3.0-2 to anything higher, and now Java
applications work without problem. The JRE 1.4.2 is exactly the same as
before, it wasn't even reinstalled.

Installed libc6 is still at version 2.3.2.ds1-11 (the same used before),
_but_ the linux kernel was recompiled and now is version 2.6.4 (compiled
using the same gcc version 3.2.3-0).

I have re-tested the problem with the previous kernel versions
(2.6.2-bk3 and 2.6.3) and it works, where previously it failed. I can't
think of a good reason for this, but since I initially reported the
problem I have updated some packages, but since I don't know the exact
day where the reported problem disappeared I can't suggest a specific
package responsible for the fix.

So the bug doesn't happen for me anymore, and maybe the bug is gone.

Hope it helps, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your backport. I'm installing it now for the first time,
and found a problem: xlibs 4.3.0-4.woody.1 conflicts with xlib6g,
but several woody packages depend on xlib6g...

Bug#239271: xserver-xfree86: dexconf not rewriting modified XF86Config-4

2004-03-21 Thread Matthias Ferdinand
Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.2.1-12.1
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

I learned by now this is intended behaviour as by the
xfree86-common-FAQ, but I would like this intended behaviour to be
changed :-)

when doing "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86"
- it should tell about not writing XF86Config-4 immediately after
invocation - not after having entered lots of numbers
- it should be possible to force overwriting of XF86Config-4
with the "--force" Flag of dpkg-reconfigure
- when not using the "--force" Flag, it should offer to write to
a different File (as in "mktemp XF86Config-4.XX")

The last option would probably suffice.

Regards
Matthias

Bug#239278: xserver-xfree86: Missing dependency on cursor package?

2004-03-21 Thread David Liontooth
Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.3.0-5
Severity: normal
Tags: sid

After upgrading XFree86 from 4.2 to 4.3.0-5, I was unable to start X11; it
exited
with the following error: "could not open default font 'cursor'". A quick google
and I found someone who had solved this problem by reinstalling artwiz-cursor. I
didn't have that installed already, but installing it fixed my problem (and I
got
a cool cursor). I imagine I could have used a different cursor package. Is this
a missing dependency?
