glutg3-dev needs to Build-Depend on xlibmesa3-gl and/or xlibmesa3-glu,
or the relevant -dev packages.

This report in itself is not very useful at all. What video card are you
using? Does glxgears still run, and you just can't exit? Is X hung, or
the system? Can you switch back to the console, or kill X with
ctrl-alt-backspace? If the system is hung, is an OOPS or anything logged
in /var/log/kern.log?

  Hello Daniel, since I am not subscribed to this list I read the web and
observe that there does not go out the body of my previous message. I answer
the body of the message below and the link is the information of my system.

  The fall of my system is _total_ in the moment to execute glxgears (other
programs that they use glx give the same result) and I have to restart the
system in "warmly". The kernel.log file does not say anything on the fall of
the system - I'm doubt that in this moment this passing nothing.

  Hello.

  I have installed the packages of the pre-release but I do not manage to make
work the subsystem glx, in fact does a few versions that I do not manage to
make it work but this it blocks completely the system.

  They might give me a track of as arranging it?

  Thank you

4.2.1-4pre5v1 needs a better g++ build dependency

2003-01-14 Thread Adrian Bunk
Hi,

I was reading through the .diff.gz of 4.2.1-4pre5v1 and my impression is
that it's perfectly possible to fulfill the build dependencies on a
system that hasn't done the gcc transition and it's therefore posible to
compile xlibmesa3-gl with g++-2.95.

I think instead of the build dependency on libstdc++5-dev that doesn't
say anything about the g++ version used when compiling a build
dependency on g++ (>= 3:3.2) would be the right choice.

cu
Adrian

BTW: Please Cc me on replies.

glutg3-dev needs to Build-Depend on xlibmesa3-gl and/or xlibmesa3-glu,
or the relevant -dev packages.

This report in itself is not very useful at all. What video card are you
using? Does glxgears still run, and you just can't exit? Is X hung, or
the system? Can you switch back to the console, or kill X with
ctrl-alt-backspace? If the system is hung, is an OOPS or anything logged
in /var/log/kern.log?

2003-01-14 Thread Antoni Bella Perez

  Hello Daniel, since I am not subscribed to this list I read the web and
observe that there does not go out the body of my previous message. I answer
the body of the message below and the link is the information of my system.

  The fall of my system is _total_ in the moment to execute glxgears (other
programs that they use glx give the same result) and I have to restart the
system in "warmly". The kernel.log file does not say anything on the fall of
the system - I'm doubt that in this moment this passing nothing.

  My video card:- Matrox Millenium G200 8MB

  Hello.

  I have installed the packages of the pre-release but I do not manage to make
work the subsystem glx, in fact does a few versions that I do not manage to
make it work but this it blocks completely the system.

  They might give me a track of as arranging it?

  Thank you
  Toni

Bug#165619: (no subject)

2003-01-14 Thread Tomasz Cichecki
I know that if I start to switch between the virual terminal (VT-consoles) and
X-server it's just a matter of time before my keyboard/mouse become
unresponsive. At first I thought it was a crash or something and pushed the
reset button. Than I found out I could normally login and restart gdm/xdm/kdm
and work futher without restarting - but today I've learnt something
completely new. I was running a remote session on a friend's computer (thus
having too running X servers - one serving my local gnome session and the
other receiving KDE3 session). The remote session was started with X :

4.2.1-4pre5v1 needs a better g++ build dependency

2003-01-14 Thread Adrian Bunk
Hi,

I was reading through the .diff.gz of 4.2.1-4pre5v1 and my impression is
that it's perfectly possible to fulfill the build dependencies on a
system that hasn't done the gcc transition and it's therefore posible to
compile xlibmesa3-gl with g++-2.95.

I think instead of the build dependency on libstdc++5-dev that doesn't
say anything about the g++ version used when compiling a build
dependency on g++ (>= 3:3.2) would be the right choice.

cu
Adrian
