BUG: XFree 4.1.0 and Chips driver

2001-06-26 Thread Jens Taprogge
I tried using the Debain XF 4.1.0 packages (version pre1v1.1 IIRC) lately on my
Laptop. But it crashed. I used the same settings that I use with XF 4.0.3.

Anyone who knows whats wrong?

Attached please find the XFree86.0.0log.
If you need additional information please speak up.

Looks like DNS problems. Perhaps you're firewalling UDP, and every
DNS lookup has to wait for the UDP query to timeout and the resolver
to fall back to TCP?

Try to run

  tcpdump -n -s 128 port 53

while starting a Gnome client.

I have not tried the 4.1.0-0pre yet, but LINUX_INPUT is there in 4.0.3
deb package. Graphire usb is working fine for me using X and usb drivers
from www.lepied.com/xfree86.
My request is that, with the next build of X. Could an updated wacom driver
(currently alpha24) be included in
the build?
