www.debian.org and backports

2014-06-21 Thread Paul van der Vlis
Hello,

I would like to search in wheezy-backports, but I can only do that by
choosing "any":
https://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_packages

I know that it's possible to use backports.debian.org, but I think it's
better to have backports on www.debian.org too. And it would help to
make backports more visiable in Debian.

With regards,
Paul van der Vlis.

Why not just displaying the box on the left side?
I think the download box will be more visible for users and it's easy to change:

 span.download {
 background-color: #FF;
 display: block;
 font-size: 0.75em;
 line-height: 2;
 margin-top: 10px;
 position: absolute;
-right: 13px;
+   left: 65px;
 }

7.5 DVD 2 ISO damaged

2014-06-21 Thread Charles Parkhurst
I have tried burning the #2 DVD ISO image several times. All fail at the
end. Found that when I am extracting the ISO into a folder, it creates a
debian folder that is continuous and the file name structure becomes too
large. I've downloaded and burned the CD images successfully and DVD 1 and
3 both work correctly.

I'm using Ubuntu (latest) and the K3b to burn the images.
