Hi Andrei,
i completely agree on your suggestion:

As you might see I am actively working in order to handle all pending
requests. Once I finish, I would like to start detailing a solution
based on a web form, as you suggested. Then, I hope, we will check if
and how it could be of any help.

Bye,
Giuseppe

Who's using Debian?

2011-10-31 Thread maurice . croes
Hi,

Below a submission for the Who's using Debian page.

1. IT Ops, NG Communications bvba, Kortenberg, Belgium
2. Commercial
3. http://www.ngcommunications.com
4. NG Communications is a Belgian telecommunications and managed hosting
company. We've been using Debian on our servers for almost 10 years, including
servers that we manage for our customers.

In total we manage over 30 servers, using the applications Apache, Nginx,
Pure-FTPd, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Postfix and Dovecot on top of Debian.
We chose Debian for it's advanced package management system, excellent security
updates and overall stability.

Thanks in advance.

Polish packages.debian.org translation

2011-10-31 Thread Marcin Owsiany
Hi,

I've pushed an initial Polish translation (prepared by Michał) to the
master branch of git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/webwml/packages.git

However http://packages.debian.net/pl/ still shows English messages.
What else needs to happen before Polish ones appear and we can merge
that into debian-master?

regards,

OK, it seems that we should only wait a bit:

from readme:

./bin/daily executes scripts from cron.d/ with run-parts:
(these are mostly just wrappers for scripts from bin/)
/.../
500update_po -- update .pot and .po files and generate
.gmo

Re: Listing also minor events on www.d.o/events

2011-10-31 Thread Paul Wise
There is also the case of the meetings of individual teams within
Debian, both physical and virtual. I would personally like it if such
meetings were advertised more widely to possibly attract new people.
