I'm pleased to tell you, that we just finished work implementing that.
You should be able to a feed of all regular News via
http://www.debian.org/News/news.rdf while our newsletter, the Debian
Project News, is available via http://www.debian.org/News/project/dwn.rdf.

trouble with a vendor

2011-01-22 Thread Ricardo Pires
  Hello,

  In http://www.debian.org/CD/vendors/index.en.html, it is written:

"If you are having trouble with a vendor (e.g. you paid for CDs but
never received them), you can inform us by sending mail to
debian-www@lists.debian.org."

This happens to me. The vendor is Distribuicoes Linux, from Brazil.
December 13, 2010, I have paid for the DVDs containing the complete
Debian distribution, but today, January 22, 2011, I have not yet
received them, even living in Brazil, as the vendor. I send a message
to the vendor several weeks ago, but I have had no response.
  Thanks,

  Ricardo Pires

Thank you. that was fast.
I was able to get the news feed, but the project news feed is giving me a
404. That is okay as I was mostly interested in the new feed, but I wanted
you to know.

Thanks,

Hi, my name is Matheus.

I'm from brazil, and I ordered my CD of Debian from the "Distruiçoes

for my Debian and nothing ...
I wait until today, but I don't think my CD won't be delivered to me,
I'm telling you this just to make sure it won't happen to anybody else.

   thanks for attention!

Ready to upload installation guide

2011-01-22 Thread Christian PERRIER
I have a ready to upload Installation Guide build.

It was built from D-I SVN as of Sat Jan 22nd 08:00 UTC

Are there objections for an upload?

Please notice that building G-I takes *hours* (4h17 on my build
machine), so I probably can rebuild it only once during the day,
today.

Also, I never did such work so I don't know exactly what needs to be
synced on the website. I suspect that the online copy has to be
updated in some way Frans was doing all such work in the past
(including builds of G-I) and, IIRC, nothing has been re-setup to
update online copies again.

I suspect that some work may be needed for CD images production, too.

Hence CC'ing -doc, -www and -cd

Without objections, I'll upload at the end of this afternoon (about
17:00 UTC).
