Bug#490848: packages.debian.org: http 404's for package vlc in testing

2008-07-14 Thread user
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal

http://packages.debian.org/lenny/vlc has at least two 404's:

http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/v/vlc/vlc_0.8.6.e-2.3+lenny1/changelog
http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/v/vlc/vlc_0.8.6.e-2.3+lenny1/vlc.copyright

At this moment the changelog and copyright links other packages such as
"apache2" and "fetchmail" work nicely.

Best regards

I've just started looking at that... it's horrible. I need to find the
thread on -www where I recall someone announcing it, and do some LARTing :)

I've just committed a fix for this. Those variables are right, although
they weren't working at all out over there, because they preceded
the Make.lang inclusion, which defines them.

It would've helped if you had written these makefiles based on existing
simple examples elsewhere in the webwml tree - but looking at
security/Makefile and all its convoluted logic to build up the RSS feed
files, I can see how you'd get instantly confused and misled...

(Sorry for not tracking this stuff more actively...)
