Confirmed here with
curl -H 'Accept-Language: en-gb, en-ca;q=0.8, en;q=0.7, fr-ca;q=0.5,
fr;q=0.3, ja;q=0.2' \
'http://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&keywords=java'
and it seems to be doing the wrong thing according to my reading of
http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html#sec14.4

Do bugs against p.d.o get filed in the BTS against www.debian.org or
is there a better place?

Regards,
