Error: URL /cgi-bin/search_packages.pl was not found
You probably know about this already, but attempting to use the "Search package directories" or "Search the contents of packages" functions on the page "http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages"; results in: Not Found The requested URL /cgi-bin/search_packages.pl was not found on this server. As I had to look it up anyway, here is a quote from http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/aural.html "The aural rendering of a document, already commonly used by the blind and print-impaired communities, combines speech synthesis and "auditory icons." Often such aural presentation occurs by converting the document to plain text and feeding this to a screen reader -- software or hardware that simply reads all the characters on the screen. This results in less effective presentation than would be the case if the document structure were retained. Style sheet properties for aural presentation may be used together with visual properties (mixed media) or as an aural alternative to visual presentation." regards, Holger pgpNhqwLrQcsh.pgp Description: PGP signature

If only emacsspeak supports it yet, it doesnt seem very urgent to me, OTOH, somebody / some site has to start using it, so we get browser support. regards, Holger pgpefc5bTAOmc.pgp Description: PGP signature

search feature not working on web site
I am attempting to search packages for tiff2pdf. I am receiving the following error: Not Found The requested URL /cgi-bin/search_contents.pl was not found on this server. I am getting the error from the main Debian packages page, and also if I manually find a package and attempt to view its contents. Thanks! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
search is down
http://packages.debian.org/ "at the moment" is funny, it is since a week or so. http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=xxx&searchon= names&subword=1&version=stable&release=all And I would really like to search for packages before building own ones ;) Good luck, Sebastian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Then let me give some examples, how aural CSS tells the reader how to speak something: We have Acronyms and abbreviations in the page text. With aural CSS, it can be deined, if Those are spelled out or spoken like a word. A DAM (Debian Accounts Manager) would be spoken as a word normally while "HTML" is spelled out. There also can be added pauses and different voices and loudness can be applied. And you are really right here: If aural CSS gets used by web sites and people write articles about that, there is a better chance that browser and screen reader programmers implement it well. greetings Jutta - -- http://www.witch.westfalen.de http://witch.muensterland.org -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (Darwin) iEYEARECAAYFAkPT31YACgkQOgZ5N97kHkegewCgqjRdn4AbN+bVPZLypETOAw+Q A3cAoK4sQD/CV60gyNG3NXl/bt0FGSUx =IpNV -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Do I have 2.0.1 when it says 2.0
When I downloaded OpenOffice.org it said it was 2.0.1 at the start and then it ended up saying 2.0. How can I tell what I have or should I just download it again? Thanks for the help. Linda [EMAIL PROTECTED]
