 I'm not sure if this change is correct.  According to my dictionary
prospective means 'voraussichtlich' (expected), prospective_ly_ means
zukünftig (future).

 What is the intention of the word in english?  prospectively sounds
more enforcing that it will really be a package.  I'm not sure if I like
that change.

I sent 3(three) messages (on sunday, wed, thu) this week to all Rodin's
accounts that I know ([EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED])
with changed .po files,
updated .wml's and pics, but no response accurred. Before week there was
the same problem, Rodin contact me after the fourth message
and explain me, that there is a problem with forwarding mails to his
primary mail, so I suggest this problem appear again and sending message
to this mail list is the last hope that I have to contact with him. It
sould be good if it's possible to fix this eventual technical problems,
becouse near month I tried to submit Bulgarian translation of the
Debian's web site without visible result.

My reading of the English word is something like "applying to be". So
"prospective developer" would be a valid way to describe someone in the
NM queue.

To me, "prospective packages" means "packages which may become part of
the distribution". "Future" does feel more accurate than "expected".

"Prospective" versus "prospectively" are just adjectival and adverbial
forms of the same word. I don't think you could reduce one to "expected"
and the other to "future" exclusively; both shades of meaning are there
depending on context.

Yeah. With mod_perl, we possibly wouldn't have anything to gain from a
binary database, but just use Perl for what it's intended to do.

Darn, I'll have to make an exception for you in our generic filters, your
mails often have attachments and get caught in the filters.

I'll track down the mails and reply to them individually.

What I do is to look for a package version with 
packages.debian.org/.  When I see there is a package in 
unstable that is not in testing yet, I look it up with a plain text 
search in my web browser on the data available at:

http://ftp-master.debian.org/testing/update_excuses.html

Can't this information be parsed and generated so that it works similar
to the "list of files", "bug reports" and "dsc" links at the bottom of
every packages web page?  This would be tremendously helpful.

enable searching East Asian words at search.debian.org

Hi,

So far search.debian.org doesn't support East Asian languages
(Chinese, Japanese, and Korean).  I.e., it cannot search Chinese,
Japanese, nor Korean words.

I have recently researched this problem and I think I found
how to fix it.  I tested at my personal machine without 24hr
internet connection and it works almost fine.

 1. install libchasen-dev, libchasen0, and ipadic packages.
 2. recompile mnogosearch (version 3.2.8 or later) with
--enable-chasen --with-extra-charsets=all option for ./configure .
 3. invoke "indexer -C" and then "indexer" to rebuild the search database.

Could someone do this?  Or, can I have a database (postgresql) access
(write access) permission at klecker to prove this?


Explanation:

Chasen packages are needed to extract words from Japanese texts.
Japanese texts don't use whitespaces between words.  --enable-chasen
(since version 3.2.8) option for mnogosearch enables usage of chasen
from mnogosearch.

Though mnogosearch is Unicode-based software and potentially supports
East Asian languages, support of these languages is disabled by default.
To enable this, --with-extra-charsets=all is needed.

Since the current search database in search.debian.org doesn't have
any east Asian words, it is needed to rebuild the whole database.
(Of course it is enough to rebuild database only for *.{ja,ko,zh-cn,
zh-hk,zh-tw}.html pages but I don't know if it is possible to this.)
