Archive Management
Hi I realise that I may not be too popular in asking this question but I thought I'd try anyway. I notice that throughout all of the Debian mail archive all of the e-mail addresses of the people who send mail to the Debian lists are preserved in the archive. I get a lot of spam. A number of us have tracked the source of the spam from the Debian project. Not from the people who support it or work on it but from the people who use the archive to farm e-mail addresses for spam. Would it not be possible to just do what we did with our own archive at ... http://www.ctanet.fr/~sheflug/index.html if you have a look through this you will see that all the e-mail addresses have been removed or altered. It was easy to do this. We took the idea from the XFCE mailing list archive. I do hope that someone will take me seriously. The level of spam is rising in general and it is even being used in a malicious way to have a go at computers and users alike. -- Thanks Richard www.sheflug.co.uk

List of lists
Hi, I cannot find the debian-esperanto list in the page http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/subscribe. Regards, Eduardo.

* Eduardo Trápani <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [2002-09-11 10:47]: > I cannot find the debian-esperanto list in the page > http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/subscribe. That's true, I can't find it neither. Given that the last post to the list in the archives was in August 2001 I might guess it has been removed. On the other hand the "subscribe" entry box in the list archives might be misleading, then Btw esperanto, do you maybe like to help translating the website into esperanto? You don't have to answer this now (or whenever), just think about it, it would be appreciated. Maybe there is something wrong with the archives? Maybe that is when someone decided not to archive anymore ... I have been subscribed for a while now, my concern is that other people interested in subscribing are not going to be able not be able to find it. > Btw esperanto, do you maybe like to help translating the website into > esperanto? I only translated the main page though, to have some visibility. Some people have volunteered for other parts but so far not much has been done. But at least the main page is there. Regards, Eduardo.
