I knew this, I was talking about rdf for the DSAs themselves not
for the index. Even if the mail is parseable fetching the rdf's through a
ssl connection (why don't we have one in place at www.debian.org) would be
a good way to retrieve DSAs (besides the current mail setup)

I don't remember exactly, but I guess this change had been made after
someone complained about those warnings ;)
Unfortunately slice 1.3.8 did not enter testing.

I'll package it for woody and get it installed it on klecker (and/or the
new www.d.o if that happens soon).

An index of the latest advisories is available at
   http://www.debian.org/security/dsa.rdf
and s/rdf/xx.rdf/ for localized versions.
But Content-Type is text/plain, IIRC there have been complaints about that.

Bug#155548: Searching for debian packages...

2002-08-06 Thread John Belmonte

This query for "webdav" is another example of the problem:

http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=webdav&searchon=all&subword=1&version=all&release=all

The search fails to return the libneon packages, etc.

Bug#155678: www.debian.org: please remove /org/www.debian.org/debian.org/events/materials/posters/index* from klecker

2002-08-06 Thread Gerfried Fuchs
Package: www.debian.org
Version: N/A; reported 2002-08-06
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Hi!

See subject -- those files seem to have been forgotten when the
structure was changed. Those files aren't genereated from anywhere
anymore and hinder browsing the available posters.

 TIA,
Alfie

2002-08-06 Thread Matthias Weiss
Hi everybody!

It would be nice if I could search for with wildcards similar to the
bash shell on the
www.debian.org/distrib/packages side.

E.g. I can currently look in package names for

open*

but not for

*open*

That means I allways have to know the beginning of the package name.

Further, when the results are being displayed like e.g. libcommoncpp

>> Release Package (size)
>> unstable libcommoncpp2-dev 0.99.6-3 (485.3k)
>> Header files and static libraries for Common C++ "2"

it would be nice if I could also have the information to which "section"
the package belongs and even better if there would be allready a link to
www.debian.org/unstable/devel.

Does this make sense to you?

ciao

matthias

What would you like the Content-Type to be?

I just got confirmation that it should be application/xml as I
suspected.
