www.debian.org/Bugs/

2000-06-20 Thread peter karlsson
Hi!

How long time does it take from that a package has been taken over by a new
maintainer, to that it shows up on w.d.o/Bugs? I have taken over the uqwk
package, but it is still listed (on pages generated today) as being
maintained by the QA group.

You mean, the updates of the Packages/ pages... we've fixed the WMLs, and
the BTS seems to be fine.

What exactly is the script that runs the update of Packages/? I agree it
should be in a specialized account, with personal crontab one needs root to
fix it if something breaks.

Thanks.

I just went to http://bugs.debian.org/uqwk and it says:

   Maintainer for uqwk is peter karlsson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

The static pages may still be a bit behind, but they should catch up in a
few hours or days.

request for push-mirroring (fwd)

2000-06-20 Thread Jason Gunthorpe

Would someone please update this portion of the web site to make it very
clear that push mirrors are 'invitation only', there is a very limited
number of slots fo this kind of thing, not everyone can get one.

Subject: request for push-mirroring

Hello,

May I ask you to add 'debian.phc.unipi.it' to the list of Push-primary
sites?

I have set up the local account 'mirror' to allow for the commands
'ftpsync', 'ftpsync-non-US' and 'websync' to be run via ssh with the public
keys I got from the Debian Mirroring webpage. However, that page lacks
information as to what hosts to mirror from and what account names to use: I
have set up the three scripts to mirror via *anonymous* rsync from the
following servers/modules:

ftpsync:ftp.debian.org::debian
websync:master.debian.org::web.debian.org
ftpsync-non-US: non-us.debian.org::debian-non-US

but I could not test 'websync', because I was denied anonymous access.
Could you please tell me how should I configure the scripts (if it is
possbile to become a push-mirrored site)?

Furthermore, how can I apply for 'debian.phc.unipi.it' to become an Official
ISO Mirror site? I think our site meets all the criteria listed in
http://www.debian.org/mirror/types .

Thank you very much in advance,
Riccardo Murri
