  Description : ROM files for retro computers

 Using emulators for old retro computers (like the Commodore 64) requires
 code and data (kernal, basic, characters sets) that was stored in their
 ROM chips.
 .
 This project contains reverse-engineered fully open-source ROMs that can
 be used with emulators.
 .
 Currently the only supported platform is the C64, but as the code is very
 modular, support for additional platforms might be added in the future.

I tested the ROMs with a couple of games/applications, and many were
already working fine (though some are not starting or crashing).
With these ROM files in main, this would also allow vice (maintainer CC'ed)
to move from contrib to main, as it can then be used meaningfully with only
free software.

Bug#983252: RFA: pencil2d -- Create hand-drawn animation using both bitmap and vector graphics

2021-02-21 Thread Mattia Rizzolo
Package: wnpp
Control: affects -1 src:pencil2d

Hi,

I'd like to ask for a new maintainer for Pencil2D.

Since I packaged it back in 2015 my interest in this program waned, so I
think it's proper that I hand it over to somebody who actually cares
about it.

The package is very simple, with a moderately active upstream
maintainer, and since the maintenance load is light I plan to keep it up
for the near future, but if you are interested in this package I'd be
happy to hand it over.

You can find more information about Pencil2D in their homepage:
https://www.pencil2d.org/

  Description : Merge users (Request Tracker)

 This extension allows merging users in Request Tracker.

You always end up with duplicate users in a ticketing system since people
use different email addresses. This extension provides a mechanism to
manage that better.

The intial packaging work has been carried but by myself for my employer.
Ongoing maintenance will be by the Debian Request Tracker Group (of which
I'm a member).

 This extension allows importing and updating Asset records from CSV files.

 This is for RT 4.4.x, solutions for older versions available on CPAN.

Request Tracker 4.4.0 introduced an Assets module. This package allows
both importing assets from CSV files, and to update existing assets
using CSV files as well.

The intial packaging work has been carried but by myself for my employer.

  Description : AssetAutoName extension (Request Tracker)

 This extension adds automatic asset name generation from other fields
 to Request Tracker.

This package will be part of the request-tracker-maintainers team.
We use it as work, and it has proven useful to other folks as well.

I found I hadn't uploaded it to CPAN, I've just uploaded it, it
hasn't been processed yet.

ttyd is a leightweight straight-forward terminal over http/https
program. Compared to ajaxterm, anyterm, shellinabox and others it is
much better because it's using xterm.js and websockets, hence better
response times.

Package: wnpp
Owner: Steffen Moeller
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: pokrok
  Version : 0.2.0
  Upstream Author : John Didion
* URL : https://github.com/jdidion/pokrok
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : meta-api for progress bars
 Pokrok provides a simple API for displaying progress bars and
 spinners. The actual work is done by any one of many available
 progress bar packges in python. For each package, a sensible default
 display is provided. In addition, high-level configuration options are
 provided for limited customization of the bar/spinner display without
 having to know the details of the underlying progress bar/spinner
 implementation. Finally, access to the fine-grained configuration of
 the underlying package is provided for those that want it.

Remark: This package is maintained by Debian Python Team at

This (still fairly small) tool permits profiling of R code alongside with

  Description : extensible trouble-ticket tracking system

 Request Tracker (RT) is a ticketing system which
 enables a group of people to intelligently and efficiently manage
 tasks, issues, and requests submitted by a community of users. It
 features web, email, and command-line interfaces (see the package
 rt5-clients).
 .
 RT manages key tasks such as the identification, prioritization,
 assignment, resolution, and notification required by
 enterprise-critical applications, including project management, help
 desk, NOC ticketing, CRM, and software development.
 .
 This package provides the 5 series of RT. It can be installed alongside
 the 3.8 and 4 series without any problems.
 .
 This package provides the core of RT.
 .
 This package supports three database types out of the box: MySQL,
 PostgreSQL and SQLite. In order to support a zero-configuration install,
 SQLite will be used by default, but is not recommended for production
 use. Please see /usr/share/doc/request-tracker5/NOTES.Debian for more
 details and consider installing rt5-db-postgresql or rt5-db-mysql at
 the same time as this package.

This package is the next major release of the software currently
packaged as request-tracker4, and the packaging is a branch of that.

It will be mainted by the RT packaging team,
.

  Description : opening, reading, and writing files while agnostic to
compression
 xphyle is a small python library that makes it easy to open compressed
 files. Most importantly, xphyle will use the appropriate program
 (e.g. 'gzip') to compress/decompress a file if it is available on
 your system; this is almost always faster than using the corresponding
 python library. xphyle also provides methods that simplify common file
 I/O operations.

Bug#983262: ITP: loguru -- enjoyable loggin' for Python

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-Cc: moel...@debian.org

Subject: ITP: loguru -- enjoyable loggin' for Python
Package: wnpp
Owner: Steffen Moeller
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: loguru
  Version : 0.5.3
  Upstream Author : Delgan
* URL : https://github.com/Delgan/loguru/
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : enjoyable loggin' for Python
 Did you ever feel lazy about configuring a logger and used print()
 instead?... I did, yet logging is fundamental to every application
 and eases the process of debugging. Using Loguru you have no excuse
 not to use logging from the start, this is as simple as
  from loguru import logger.
 .
 Also, this library is intended to make Python logging less painful
 by adding a bunch of useful functionalities that solve caveats of the
 standard loggers. Using logs in your application should be an automatism,
 Loguru tries to make it both pleasant and powerful.
 Ready to use out of the box without boilerplate
 .
  * No Handler, no Formatter, no Filter: one function to rule them all
  * Easier file logging with rotation / retention / compression
  * Modern string formatting using braces style
  * Exceptions catching within threads or main
  * Pretty logging with colors
  * Asynchronous, Thread-safe, Multiprocess-safe
  * Fully descriptive exceptions
  * Structured logging as needed
  * Lazy evaluation of expensive functions
  * Customizable levels
  * Better datetime handling
  * Suitable for scripts and libraries
  * Entirely compatible with standard logging
  * Personalizable defaults through environment variables
  * Convenient parser
  * Exhaustive notifier
