Hello and happy new year!

There's actually no need for a wiki or a guide, I think - all you need
to do is install the dbus-broker package. On reboot, you'll be using
dbus-broker. If you remove the dbus-broker package and reboot again,
you'll be back to dbus-daemon.

Given it's in experimental now it should be pretty simple to test it
out - I've been using it on my desktop from the repo since yesterday,
everything seems fine, both system and user sessions.

Please let me know if you find any issues.

Kind regards,
Luca Boccassi

Bug#950821: update for v3

2021-01-09 Thread Phil Morrell
Hi, I've updated the wiki page for v3 dependencies (took 2.5 hours!).
There's 350 not packaged in Debian, so you're talking approximately 6
months full time work unless it can be pared down.

Bug#979642: RFP: shellspec -- Unit testing framework using the BDD paradigm for bash, ksh, zsh, dash and all POSIX shells.

2021-01-09 Thread Gabriel Filion
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: shellspec
  Version : 0.28.0
Upstream Author : Koichi Nakashima <>
* URL : https://github.com/shellspec/shellspec
* License : Expat
  Programming Lang: Shell
Description : Unit testing framework using the BDD paradigm for bash,
ksh, zsh, dash and all POSIX shells.

ShellSpec is a full-featured BDD unit testing framework for dash, bash, ksh,
zsh and all POSIX shells that provides first-class features such as code
coverage, mocking, parameterized test, parallel execution and more. It was
developed as a dev/test tool for cross-platform shell scripts and shell script
libraries.

This framework is an alternative to other frameworks which are already packaged
in debian like bats, shunit2 and shelltestrunner. However, this library
provides a BDD aproach to testing shell scripts and also provides some very
interesting additional features.

The project also has a website: https://shellspec.info/

Bug#979646: ITP: thola -- A tool for monitoring and provisioning network devices.

A tool for monitoring and provisioning network devices written in Go.
It features a check mode which complies with the monitoring plugins development
guidelines and is therefore compatible with Nagios, Icinga, Zabbix, Checkmk,
etc.

thola currently has three main modes of operation with various subcommands:

identify automatically identifies the device and outputs its vendor, model and
other properties.
read - reads out values and statistics of the device.
read available-components - returns the available components for the device.
read interfaces - outputs the interfaces with several values like error
counters and statistics.
read count-interfaces - counts the interfaces.
read cpu-load - returns the current cpu load of all CPUs.
read memory-usage - reads out the current memory usage.
read ups - outputs the special values of a UPS device.
check - performs checks that can be used in monitoring systems. Output is by
default in check plugin format.
check identify - compares the device properties with given expectations.
check snmp - checks SNMP reachability.
check interface-metrics - outputs performance data for the interfaces,
including special values based on the interface type (e.g. Radio Interface).
check cpu-load - checks the average CPU load of all CPUs against given
thresholds and outputs the current load of all CPUs as performance data.
check memory-usage - checks the current memory usage against given thresholds.
check ups - checks if a UPS device has its main voltage applied and outputs
additional performance data like battery capacity or current load, and compares
them to optionally given thresholds.
check metrics - outputs all possible metrics.
check thola-server - checks reachability of a Thola API.

The goal of the project is to simulate the presence of a large number of
network devices (such as switches, routers, modems etc) on the network.
These simulated devices expose their management interfaces and support

The main use-case for the software is to create a testing environment for

Hi Thomas,

I came across your ITP for strawberry and am wondering if you'd like to
resume work on it. I can offer to sponsor.

I took a look upstream [1], and a lot of the hard work (e.g.,
debian/copyright) has been addressed and the upstream packaging looks
pretty near to being ready.

Cheers,
tony

  Description : Django Swappable Models

Swapper is an unofficial API for the undocumented but very powerful Django
feature: swappable models. Swapper facilitates implementing arbitrary swappable
models in your own reusable apps.

This is a new dependency for python-django-x509. I intend to maintain it as part
of the DPT.

This project is a rebirth of a direct integration between BlueZ and
ALSA. Since BlueZ >= 5, the build-in integration has been removed in
favor of 3rd party audio applications. From now on, BlueZ acts as a
middleware between an audio application, which implements Bluetooth
audio profile, and a Bluetooth audio device.
