Hi all,

I need this package in order to build the new version of Spyder. I
didn't realise there was already an ITP, so I built my own package,
only to discover the work has already been done!

I'm happy to push a small tweak to the packaging, so it runs the test
suite during build, and then would it be OK if I upload it to NEW?
It's been sitting on salsa for over a year now.

Best wishes,

   Julian

Bug#978973: RFP: gnome-activity-journal -- Activity Journal for the GNOME desktop environment ( Powered by Zeitgeist 1.0.3 )

2021-01-01 Thread crvi
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-Cc: crvi...@gmail.com

* Package name: gnome-activity-journal
  Version : 1.0.0
  Upstream Author : crvi
* URL : https://gitlab.gnome.org/crvi/gnome-activity-journal
* License : GPL v3
  Programming Lang: Python3
  Description : Activity Journal for the GNOME desktop environment (
Powered by Zeitgeist 1.0.3 )

Description:

GNOME Activity Journal is a tool for easily browsing and finding files that you
worked on. It uses Zeitgeist to get information and metadata on what files you
have accessed. It also keeps a chronological journal of all file activity and
supports tagging and establishing relationships between groups of files.

This package already was in Debian / Ubuntu repos. But, development halted in
Nov 2011. It is now ported completely to GTK3 and Python3.8.

Why is this package useful/relevant?

It tracks file usage history and previewing.

Latest screenshots of version 1.0.0:

With the release of 1.3.2 of proftpd is finally in place prxs and the whole
infrastructure
for building third-parties modules. I know currently at least about 30
different modules
available as non-core and some of them are sometimes requested by users.
See http://castaglia.org/proftpd/#Modules for the list of them.

My idea is having new separate packages for add-on modules ready for squeeze
and maintained by a little team of weakly connected people, in order to stay in
sync with
patches, modules and core. Note that proftpd requires generally a good
deal of contributed patches to be in shape for the release. A decent
knowledge of its various configuration options and inners is mandatory.

In order to have an idea of the level of dedication required, prospective
helpers can consult the past 12 years of changelog.Debian, then contact
me.

Cheers

Ok,

I'm going to close this bug, open since 2009. We always need help, but
currently at least 2 devs are active and all infrastructure is in place.
The micro-team is listed on the wikі too under /Teams.

I don't see reasons to hope in changes for the next future. Even, most of the
addon modules are now in place, so efforts to improve the situation are

now - fortunately - limited.

-cheers and see you on Salsa

Bug#978994: O: php-dompdf -- HTML to PDF converter

2021-01-01 Thread Markus Frosch
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: only...@debian.org

I intend to orphan the php-dompdf package, because I only did partial
uploads for dependencies I maintained, but the only reverse dependency
is now:

civicrm-common

The package description is:
 DOMPDF is a CSS 2.1 compliant HTML to PDF converter. It:
  * handles most CSS 2.1 and a few CSS3 properties, including @import,
@media & @page rules
  * supports most presentational HTML 4.0 attributes
  * supports external stylesheets, either local or through HTTP/FTP
(via fopen-wrappers)
  * supports complex tables, including row and column spans, separate
and collapsed border models, individual cell styling
  * supports images: GIF, PNG (8-, 24- and 32-bit with alpha channel),
BMP, and JPEG
  * supports inline PHP

While it is unfortunately too late now, it would be nice if Johan had
