imx-mkimage combines u-boot, atf and (if needed) firmare into a bootable

I have to sort out how to best package / integrate this so a built
u-boot / atf can be combined at e.g. flash-kernel runtime.

It seems uboot can handle this so closing since we don't need it two times.

Bug#968592: ITP: tuxedo-backlight-control -- Minimal Linux UI & CLI for TUXEDO / Clevo computers Backlight Control

2020-08-18 Thread Kevin VL
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Kevin Van Lierde

* Package name: tuxedo-backlight-control
  Version : 0.7.0
  Upstream Author : Kevin Van Lierde
* URL : https://github.com/webketje/tuxedo-backlight-control
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Minimal Linux distro CLI & UI for TUXEDO / Clevo computers
Keyboard Backlight

Tuxedo Backlight Control is a utility that automates toggling keyboard
backlight state for TUXEDO / Clevo (and rebranded laptops like Sager's, or
System76) computers on Linux.
It provides both a UI widget and a command-line interface (backlight
[options]).
The utility requires the kernel module tuxedo-keyboard
(https://github.com/tuxedocomputers/tuxedo-keyboard) to be installed first.
It can toggle the keyboard backlight off, set any of 7 backlight animation
modes (breathe, cycle, dance, flash, random, tempo, wave) and set a single or
multiple colors in Color (custom) mode.
Available colors are the 16 original 'web-safe' colors (see
https://www.cssportal.com/html-colors/orig-16-colors.php). Additional colors
can be specified by the user.

I develop this widget independently on Github and since it has gained some
traction I would like to provide it directly through the Debian repository.
The Debian binary package is generated with fpm
(https://github.com/jordansissel/fpm) but I am open to improvements, and/or
help setting up a full Debian package with source packages included.
Need to specify that the only computer models on which the functionality is
known to work, are the Clevo N150-ZU / N151-ZU. Given positive feedback by
users I intend to publish a v1 soon.

Just to be clear, you (or someone) will need to provide policy compliant
source packages before your package can be uploaded. The mailing list
debian-ment...@lists.debian.org and the irc channel #debian-mentors on
chat.oftc.net are there to help with learning packaging for Debian.

Hi Alexis,

I'm unfortunately unable to find the sources at the moment. IIRC, it
was committed in the SVN repo before that got taken down. But I don't
have the sources on hand right now.

Just saw that you have created the new repo here:
https://salsa.debian.org/amurzeau/aqemu. That's great.

Thanks for taking this over. Appreciate your time and contribution!

Bug#968619: ITP: libnss-nis -- NSS module for using NIS as a naming service

2020-08-18 Thread Aurelien Jarno
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Aurelien Jarno
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-gl...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: libnss-nis
  Version : 3.1
  Upstream Author : Thorsten Kukuk
* URL : https://github.com/thkukuk/libnss_nis
* License : LGPL-2.1+
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : NSS module for using NIS as a naming service

This package provides a Name Service Switch that allows your NIS server
act as a name service. This means providing user account information,
group id's, host information, aliases, netgroups, and basically anything
else that you would normally get from /etc flat files.

This module was formerly part of glibc, but is now standalone to be able
to link against TI-RPC for IPv6 support.

glibc 2.32 removed support for NIS, and with it the libnss_nis.so.2 NSS
module. This package will provide this feature instead.

Thanks for your patience.

I thought it pushed last night, but I don't see anything on Salsa this morning.
Anyway it insisted that I use:

git push --set-upstream
ssh://g...@salsa.debian.org:debian-hamradio-team/dream.git master

It gave two errors, the second in red:

error: src refspec master does not match any
error: failed to push some refs to

The ultimate Python library in building OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. It

There are several Python libraries supporting bits of OAuth/OpenID, etc.
This is one of the most complete I've seen, and seems well maintained
(if somewhat new).

Matrix Synapse uses it for OIDC.

Intend to package it under the Debian Python Modules Team.
