Bug#873075: Check on latest status and work done already

2019-10-17 Thread Christian Ehrhardt
Hi,
with Buster efforts clearly out of the way by now I wanted to recheck
what the status of this is atm.
Have people joined the Team [1]. Or is there a more modern salsa
team/Group for it already, I only found [2] the package there but
nothing for team-backuppc.

Therefore it is hard to track any potential pre-work that was already
started. Do some people have bits and bytes for this already in their
personal git repository somewhere, and if so where?

Furthermore there also is [6] which pushes even latest 4.3.1 debs
built outside of the archive.
Upstream Releases of 4.x [3] keep on coming and do so for a while.
Thereby different people might have done work at different stages
already that should be merged first.

Would it make sense to you, to push whatever is already out there to a
team-backuppc space on salsa maybe?

I have CC'ed everyone that I have found actively involved on [4][5] to
increase chances to get the latest state updated here.

Bug#942530: ITP: file-entry-cache -- Node.js library implementing a simple cache for file metadata

2019-10-17 Thread Jonas Smedegaard

Severity: wishlist

  Version  : 5.0.1
  Upstream Author  : Roy Riojas
* Url  : https://github.com/royriojas/file-entry-cache
* Licenses : Expat
  Programming Lang : JavaScript

 File-entry-cache is a super simple cache for file metadata,
 useful for process that work on a given series of files
 and that only need to repeat the job on the changed ones
 since the previous run of the process.
 .
 The module grew from a need for a super simple and dumb in-memory cache
 with optional disk persistance
 for a script to beautify files with "esformatter"
 only processing files that had changed since last run.
 Such use case need "fileSize" and "modificationTime" of the files
 tracked in a simple key/value storage.

This package is a dependency of eslint.

  Version  : 5.1.4
  Upstream Author  : Kael Zhang
* Url  : https://github.com/kaelzhang/node-ignore

  Programming Lang : JavaScript

 "ignore" is a manager, filter and parser
 for the .gitignore spec at ,
 implemented in pure JavaScript.
 .
  * Standalone module, much simpler than e.g. "fstream-ignore".
  * Only contains utility methods
to filter paths according to the specified ignore rules.
  * Never tries to discover ignore rules
by traversing directories or fetching from git configurations.
  * Doesn't care about sub-modules of git projects.
  * Complies exactly to gitignore documentation
at :
- "/*.js" should only match "a.js", not also "abc/a.js".
- "**/foo" should match "foo" anywhere.
- Prevents re-including a file excluded in a parent directory.
- Handles trailing whitespaces:
  - "a " (one space) should not match "a  " (two spaces).
  - "a \ " matches "a  ".
- All test cases are verified against "git check-ignore".

The package is needed by eslint (already packaged in experimental but
crippled by the lack of ignore).

I plan to maintain this package in the JavaScript team, keeping
debianization in following Git repository:

https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/node-ignore.git

 Flatted is a super light and fast circular JSON parser.
 .
 Works with all ECMAScript engines
 compatible with Map, Set, Object.keys, and Array.prototype.reduce,
 even if polyfilled.
 .
 Flatted is the direct successor of no longer maintained CircularJSON.

This package is a dependency of recent releases of ESLint.

I plan to maintain this package in the JavaScript team, keeping
debianization in following Git repository:

 File-entry-cache is a super simple cache for file metadata,
 useful for process that work on a given series of files
 and that only need to repeat the job on the changed ones
 since the previous run of the process.
 .
 The module grew from a need for a super simple and dumb in-memory cache
 with optional disk persistance
 for a script to beautify files with "esformatter"
 only processing files that had changed since last run.
 Such use case need "fileSize" and "modificationTime" of the files
 tracked in a simple key/value storage.

This package is a dependency of eslint.

I plan to maintain this package in the JavaScript team, keeping
debianization in following Git repository:

I intend to orphan the sclapp package. I packaged it because it was a
dependency for pytagsfs which I neither maintain nor use anymore. The
software itself is stable and hasn't changed in many months.

The package description is:
 sclapp is a Python module that makes it easy to write well-behaved
 command-line applications and helps authors deal with the following
 issues:
 .
  * Signal handling
  * Terminal character encodings
  * Standard output failures (broken pipes)
  * Common command-line options (like --help and --version)

I am orphaning bhl. Its from a time when org-mode didn't exist
yet. It was one of the first packages I did when I joined Debian.
But these days I really have no use for it anymore, and am therefore
pretty much neglecting its maintainance, which is bad.
