Bug#907273: Please add the "perl-doc-html" package to Debian 10.

2019-07-27 Thread Dominic Hargreaves
On Thu, Jul 25, 2019 at 10:58:15PM -0600, MyMail5 wrote:
> Dear Maintainer,

Hello,

Unfortunately the perl-doc-html maintainer orphaned the package last year
so it was removed so that it didn't reflect the wrong version of perl
shipped in that release.

It won't be possible (even if there was the will from someone)
to add it back to Debian 10 after the fact due to Debian's release
policies. There are some ideas about how to get it back into Debian in
 and
 so if someone
wanted to work on that it could be restored for Debian 11.

Since I last looked at this it appears there has been some work in
revitalising perldoc.perl.org which had itself fallen into unmaintained
mode if I recall.

If anyone would be interested in working on this please ping me so we
can discuss if/how it should be integrated into the perl packages.

Cheers,
Dominic.

Hello,

Currently, ocaml-gettext has no human maintainers. It is maintained by the
Debian OCaml team because of the need of transition coordination, but
needs more love and a dedicated maintainer.

A potential maintainer should get familiar with [1], and in particular
with our policy and practices, and get subscribed to our mailing-list.

Bcrypt est un utilitaire multiplate-forme de chiffrement de fichier. Les

d’exploitation pris en charge. En plus des données chiffrées, bcrypt, par
défaut écrasera le fichier d’entrée original avec n’importe quoi, trois fois de

Description-en: command-line utility that reports when files have been altered
This software is a client to FAM (File Alteration Monitor).
You can use fileschanged in shell scripts to take action when monitored files
become altered. In it's simplest form, you can give filenames to monitor from
standard-input, and it will report when those files have changed via
standard-output. In a more complex usage, fileschanged can monitor
command-line specified files recursively, while following symbolic links,
while staying on the current filesystem, and reporting deleted files as well
as created and changed files that haven't been written to for 2 seconds.

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the ensymble package. I don't use the package
myself, so I'm not in a good position to maintain it in the long term.

The package description is:
This is the Ensymble developer utilities for Symbian OS(TM), a
collection of Python modules and command line programs for Symbian
 OS software development.
 .
Current focus of Ensymble development is to provide useful tools for
making "Python for S60" (also called PyS60) programs. Supported
functions include generation of SIS (installation) packages, merging
several SIS packages into one, (re-)signing existing SIS packages and
modifying extension DLL headers. Support for other Symbian OS software
 development tasks will follow.

Bug#933241: ITP: caml-mode -- emacs mode for editing OCaml programs

2019-07-27 Thread Ralf Treinen
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Ralf Treinen

* Package name: caml-mode
  Version : recent (*)
Upstream Author : Damien Doligez, Jacques Garrigue, Xavier Leroy, Didier
Remy, Ian T Zimmerman
* URL : https://github.com/ocaml/caml-mode
* License : GPL2+
  Programming Lang: elisp
Description : emacs mode for editing OCaml programs

Objective Caml (OCaml) is an implementation of the ML language, based on
the Caml Light dialect extended with a complete class-based object system
and a powerful module system in the style of Standard ML.
 .
This package provides support for editing both Objective Caml and
Caml Light programs with Emacs and XEmacs.
 .
 Caml-mode supports:
  - indentation
  - compilation and error retrieving
  - interaction with the toplevel
  - font-lock
  - imenu

This emacs-mode used to be distributed as part of the ocaml distribution
but was recently factored out by upstream into a separate git repository.
This will become relevant for debian starting from ocaml 4.08 on (which
is currently in experimental).

This package will be maintained by the ocaml-team.

(*) Concerning the version: since the creation of the separate git repo,
upstream has not issued release tags. I have asked upstream to tag the
commits they consider a release.
