  Description : Installer for drm-free commercial games

./play.it is a tool which builds .deb and .pkg packages from installers
for Windows or Linux, mainly those sold by GOG and Humble Bundle. Our
goal is that a game installed via ./play.it is indistinguishable from a
game installed via the official repositories of your favorite
distribution.

The games are installed globally on multi-user systems, avoiding
unnecessary duplication. The locations of save games, settings, mods,
temporary files and backups are standardized with XDG Base Directory
support.

Packaging the games simplifies future updates, uninstalls and handling
of any necessary dependencies, including integrated obsolete
dependencies if specific versions are needed.

---

Similar packages:
* game-data-packager - no original engines, fewer games
* playonlinux - only wine, single-user
* lutris - gui, game library manager, bigger scope

Initial packaging at https://salsa.debian.org/emorrp1-guest/play.it.
I plan to maintain it in Debian Games Team.

Hi Stephen,

I have had a look at your effort to package easyloggingpp
(https://salsa.debian.org/debian/easyloggingpp). Apart from a missing
build-dependency on cmake, it seems to build fine, even on stretch. I
have been able to use the resulting package for building LIEF.

Are you going to upload soon?

Bug#902418: ITP: cantera -- Object-oriented chemical kinetics, thermodynamics & transport processes suite

2018-06-26 Thread Kurt Kremitzki
Package: wnpp

Owner: Kurt Kremitzki

* Package name: cantera
  Version : 2.4.0b1
  Upstream Author : Cantera Developers
* URL : https://cantera.org
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : Object-oriented chemical kinetics, thermodynamics &
transport processes suite

Cantera is an open-source suite of object-oriented software tools for
problems involving chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and/or transport
processes. The software automates the chemical kinetic, thermodynamic,
and transport calculations so that the users can efficiently incorporate
detailed chemical thermo-kinetics and transport models into their
calculations.

The code utilizes object-oriented concepts for robust yet flexible phase
models, and algorithms are generalized so that users can explore
different phase models with minimal changes to their overall code.
Currently, Cantera can be used from Python 2/3 and Matlab, or in
applications written in C/C++ and Fortran 90. Cantera also provides a
limited number of solvers for time-dependent reactor networks and steady
one-dimensional reacting flows.

Cantera is currently used for applications including combustion,
detonations, electrochemical energy conversion and storage, fuel cells,
batteries, aqueous electrolyte solutions, plasmas, and thin film
deposition.

I plan on packaging this within the Debian Science Team.

I didn't. The dang thing drops debian-devel from the CC list after the
initial submission, and I forgot it does that. Thus, I didn't read the
full report before replying...

No, you did what you were supposed to do.

Your new short and full descriptions are good enough as far as I am
concerned, BTW.

Bug#902420: ITP: ivulncheck -- reports cluster security vulnerabilities and fixes

* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: Python3
  Description : reports cluster security vulnerabilities and fixes

 Ivulncheck is a security tool to centralize the search of
vulnerabilities and
 fixes concerning packages on a cluster.
 .
 A procedure is needed to initialize the API (restore an initial state
 of the MongoDB database, download ubuntu-cve-tracker tool, deploy
 CVE-Search modified API)
 .
 First, an agent script must be deployed to detect installed packages on
 the cluster (only Ubuntu and Debian are supported). This script
 generated a json formatted file and send it to ther API. Then, several
 commands must be executed to search vulnerabilities and determine
 available security updates (called here fixes). Four principals sources
 are used :
 .
  * debsecan for Debian hosts,
  * ubuntu-cve-tracker for Ubuntu hosts,
  * CVE-Search for custom installed application (manually configuration
needed),
  * madison-lite (to complete missing fixes due to possibly outdated
sources, missing sources or unreferenced vulnerabilities)
 .
 Eventually, you can get informations (installed packages, monitored
 hosts, known vulnerabilities an available fixes) directly from the API
 Or a Web Interface provide a graphical rendering of these informations.

That's not how this bug is supposed to work. This bug is for
src:open-cobol. If you claim src:gnucobol is the new name for this
project, then you'll either have to take over all of the binaries built
by src:open-cobol (and *then* close this bug), or ask for removal of
src:open-cobol (and then this bug will be automatically closed).

src:open-cobol still builds libcob1 and libcob1-dev.  I see that
src:gnucobol builds libcob4-dev (which is a very unfurtunate name,
what's the reason to have a versioned -dev package? :( they are a pain
to deal with…) and libcob4, so I suppose you should go with the latter
route and ask for removal of the whole source package.

Bug#902435: RFP: pacvim -- a game that teaches you vim commands

2018-06-26 Thread Martin Atukunda
Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2018-06-26
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: pacvim
* Upstream Author: jmoon018
* URL: https://github.com/jmoon018/PacVim
* License: LGPL
* Description: a game that teaches you vim commands
 PacVim is a game that teaches you vim commands. You must move pacman (the
 green cursor) to highlight each word on the gameboard while avoiding the
 ghosts (in red).
 .
 Vim is a great tool to write and edit code, but many people, including me,
 struggled with the steep learning curve. I did not find a fun, free way to
 learn about the vim commands in-depth, and thus, PacVim was born. Inspired by
 the classic, PacMan, PacVim is a game that'll give anyone plenty of practice
 with the vim commands while being a ton of fun to play.

Package: wnpp

The package timidity is NMU maintained since 2011*, currently the 6th NMU in a
row
in the DELAYED queue. Therefore I orphan the package now in the hope that it
gets
back into maintainance by some interested party.

(X-Debbug-CC are the last three people doing a NMUl, maybe one of them want the
package :))

Maintaining a package requires time and skills. Please only adopt this
package if you will have enough time and attention to work on it.

If you want to be the new maintainer, please see
https://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/#howto-o for detailed
instructions how to adopt a package properly.

* It is quite unclear about maintainer status of the packge. The listed
maintainer has touched the package
only one time in 2011 and kcr@d.o has no entry in the changelog.

Some information about this package:

Bug#895156: easyloggingpp package

2018-06-26 Thread Stephen Kitt

Hi Hilko,

Le 26/06/2018 13:01, Hilko Bengen a écrit :

I have had a look at your effort to package easyloggingpp
(https://salsa.debian.org/debian/easyloggingpp). Apart from a missing
build-dependency on cmake, it seems to build fine, even on stretch. I
have been able to use the resulting package for building LIEF.

Are you going to upload soon?

I was waiting for clarification on the provenance of some files in the
upstream source; I’ll remove those and upload the package in the next
few days.

Regards,

Stephen

Bug#902484: ITP: cowpatty - Brute-force dictionary attack against WPA-PSK

2018-06-26 Thread Samuel Henrique
Package: wnpp
Owner: "Samuel Henrique"
Severity: wishlist
User: samuel...@debian.org
Usertags: gsoc2018-portkalipackages

* Package name: cowpatty
* URL : https://github.com/joswr1ght/cowpatty
* License : BSD-3-clause
  Programming Lang: C
  Description :
Implementation of an offline dictionary attack against WPA/WPA2 networks
using PSK-based authentication (e.g. WPA-Personal). Many enterprise
networks deploy PSK-based authentication mechanisms for WPA/WPA2 since it
is much easier than establishing the necessary RADIUS, supplicant and
certificate authority architecture needed for WPA-Enterprise
authentication. Cowpatty can implement an accelerated attack if a
precomputed PMK file is available for the SSID that is being assessed.

I intend to maintain this package under the pkg-security team.

Bug#833460: closed by Ludwin Janvier (ITA: open-cobol -- cobol compiler)

2018-06-26 Thread Ludwin Janvier

Thanks you Mattia for your comment and sorry for the mistake.

I made a removal request (#902491).

I hope that's fine now.
