Bug#872600: RFP: open-rpi-firmware -- Open source VPU side bootloader for Raspberry Pi
[Michael Stapelberg] > FWIW, I think it doesn’t make sense to package this (or upload it, > rather) until we can run a headless Raspberry Pi system with it (i.e. > once DMA, Ethernet and USB work). I don’t expect tooling to be a big > issue. I agree that it should definitely not go into the unstable->stable route until it has more features, but believe it would be useful to start packaging in a public git repo and perhaps even upload to experimental to increase its visibility. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen

Bug#872622: ITP: bandage -- Bioinformatics Application for Navigating De novo Assembly Graphs Easily
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Debian Med * Package name: bandage Version : 0.8.1 Upstream Author : Ryan R. Wick * URL : https://github.com/rrwick/Bandage/ * License : GPL3 Programming Lang: C++ Description : Bioinformatics Application for Navigating De novo Assembly Graphs Easily Bandage is a GUI program that allows users to interact with the assembly graphs made by de novo assemblers such as Velvet, SPAdes, MEGAHIT and others. De novo assembly graphs contain not only assembled contigs but also the connections between those contigs, which were previously not easily accessible. Bandage visualises assembly graphs, with connections, using graph layout algorithms. Nodes in the drawn graph, which represent contigs, can be automatically labelled with their ID, length or depth. Users can interact with the graph by moving, labelling and colouring nodes. Sequence information can also be extracted directly from the graph viewer. By displaying connections between contigs, Bandage opens up new possibilities for analysing and improving de novo assemblies that are not possible by looking at contigs alone. More information and download links are on the Bandage website: rrwick.github.io/Bandage The package is relevant to the field of genome assembly and will be maintained by the Debian Med team.

The general purpose of this library is to create vector graphics files on POSIX systems which can be imported into StarOffice/OpenOffice. The Enhanced MetaFile (EMF) is one of the two color vector graphics format which is "vectorially" understood by SO/OO. (SO/OO can import Encapsulated PostScript files, but will only display it if it has a bitmap preview image. SO/OO can also import a DXF file, but as near as I can tell, this is only monochrome. OpenOffice now has an XML based file format; in the future, use of this format will probably supplant this library.) The EMF format also has the additional advantage that it can be "broken" into its constituent components and edited like any other SO/OO graphics object. . http://libemf.sourceforge.net/ - -- ghostbar @ linux/debian 'sid' x86 - #382503 WeBlog: http://ghostbar.ath.cx/ - http://talug.org.ve http://debian.org.ve - irc.debian.org #debian-ve San Cristóbal, Venezuela. Thank you Diane! :-D Antoine, if you have the time and want to speed along an upload of elpy, could you please test this find-file-in-project package to make sure it works properly for advanced use-cases? I can confirm it works for my simple needs: https://mentors.debian.net/package/find-file-in-project https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/f/find-file-in-project/find-file-in-project_5.4.0-1.dsc https://anonscm.debian.org/git/pkg-emacsen/pkg/find-file-in-project.git I'm currently disabling upstream's tests, because they seem to be broken, and I only have 4-to-6 hours of Debian contribution time in the next few days. After that I'll be 100% busy with work for about a month. Cheers, Nicholas signature.asc Description: PGP signature

I'm sorry, but I won't have time to work on this for a while, as I'm swamped by post-debconf traumatic stress disorder. ;) A. -- Ils versent un pauvre miel sur leurs mots pourris et te parlent de pénurie Et sur ta faim, sur tes amis, ils aiguisent leur appétit - Richard Desjardins, La maison est ouverte
Bug#835197: RFP: fonts-eosrei-emojione
It appears like Emojione is no longer under a DFSG-compatible license. Emojitwo is a fork of Emojione before the licensing change. https://github.com/EmojiTwo/emojitwo By the way, my understanding is that the new GNOME color emoji feature requires these: 1. gtk+3.0 3.22.18 (in testing) 2. pango1.0 1.40.9 (in unstable) 3. fontconfig 2.12.5 (not released yet) 4. cairo 1.15.7 (not released yet, it's the "development" branch) 5. A suitable font. See this list: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/tree/conf.d/45-generic.conf The Noto Emoji ITP is https://bugs.debian.org/848198 Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
