Description : save cookie and filesystem sessions and allow custom
  session backends

This package provides a Go library that implements methods to save
cookies and filesystem sessions and allows custom session backends.
It is provided by Gorilla which is a web toolkit for the Go
 programming language.
 .
 Features:
   - Simple API: use it as an easy way to set signed cookies
   - Cookies can optionally be enycrpted
   - Built-in backends to store sessions in cookies on the filesystem
   - Flash messages: session values that last until read
   - Session persistency switching
   - Methods to rotate authentication and encryption keys
   - Multiple sessions per request, even using different backends
   - Support for custom session backends

This Go library is being packaged as a build dependency of gitea (a gogs fork).
There are a lot of build dependencies; I'm sorry. :(

Description : Go tool to walk & rewrite AST

This library provides functions similar to ast.Inspect() from the
'ast' package. The passed walk function can also return a node, which
is used to rewrite the parent node. This provides an easy way to
rewrite a given ast.Node while walking the AST.

This Go library is being packaged as a build dependency of gitea (a gogs fork).
There are a lot of build dependencies; I'm sorry. :(

Description : heap memory profiler for Linux

Heaptrack traces all memory allocations and annotates these events with stack
traces. Dedicated analysis tools then allow you to interpret the heap memory
profile to:

  - find hotspots that need to be optimized to reduce the memory footprint of
your application
  - find memory leaks, i.e. locations that allocate memory which is never
deallocated
  - find allocation hotspots, i.e. code locations that trigger a lot of memory
allocation calls
  - find temporary allocations, which are allocations that are directly
followed by their deallocation

* Package name: pupnp-1.8
  Version : 1.8.0
Upstream Author : Intel Corporation, Marcelo Roberto Jimenez
* URL : http://pupnp.sourceforge.net/
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: C
Description : Portable SDK for UPnP Devices, version 1.8

The Portable SDK for UPnP Devices (libupnp) provides developers with an
API and open source code for building control points, devices, and
bridges that are compliant with Version 1.0 of the Universal Plug and
Play Device Architecture Specification - see http://www.upnp.org/ for
 specifications.

Version 1.8 has been a work in progress for many years and makes a
number of API changes compared to version 1.6. It's designed to be
co-installable with libupnp 1.6. Upstream are planning to continue
maintaining the 1.6 branch since it's much more widely used. It's
currently only available on GitHub:
https://github.com/mrjimenez/pupnp

pupnp-1.8 is needed for packaging the active fork of mediatomb which I'm
having a look into. This fork solves the current issues facing the
mediatomb package which bundles a heavily patched version of libupnp
containing a number of security issues.

I'm CCing the maintainer for libupnp, although I have a strong feeling
he is MIA.

Thanks,
James

This library provides an implementation of the LevelDB key/value
database in the Go programming language.
 .
LevelDB is a fast key-value storage library that provides an ordered
mapping from string keys to string values.

This Go library is being packaged as a build dependency of gitea (a gogs fork).
There are a lot of build dependencies; I'm sorry. :(

abandoned it. What were the difficulties, and what is the current status?

Subject: [mh] Announcement: 4.2 Released!
To: The main list for the MisterHouse home autom <
misterhouse-us...@lists.sourceforge.net>

It's been a little over a year, and there's been a surprising amount of
updates, enhancements, and new features added to MH! Looking at the pull
requests, I figure about 107 commits were included in this release.

Release Highlights (from what I gathered from the commits)

   - Integration with 2 major voice control systems, Alexa & Siri
   - "Continuous Integration" when submitting pull requests to catch errors
   quickly
   - IA7 v1.3 Changes
  - Scheduler – click developer mode. Add a cron-like trigger right on
the IA7 Model. See Schedule.PM for more advanced usage.
  - Push Notifications and browser audio
  - Object Logger - see the entire history of device changes.
  - Updated floorplan -- developer mode allows interactive placement.
  Still some placement issues however
  - Support for RRDTool 1.5.1+
  - Authentication - colored gear, and a dynamic log in/out button
  - IA7ized a bunch of IA5 stuff. Triggers, comics, email,
  - Purple button for unknown state (ia7_config state_colors allows for
  color overrides)
  - Support for $config_parms in the collections.json
  - Logging issues or errors to the print log when parsing
  collections.json
  - View the ia7_config and rrd_config on the about mr.house page.
   - New Modules added
  - Doorbird
  - mysensors
  - evapotranspiration
  - scheduler
  - Ecobee3
  - Pushsafer
  - DSC

Bug#859506: ITP: seqsero -- Salmonella serotyping from genome sequencing data

2017-04-04 Thread Andreas Tille

Severity: wishlist

* Package name: seqsero
  Version : 1.0
Upstream Author : Shaokang Zhang (zsk...@uga.edu) and Xiangyu Deng
(xd...@uga.edu)
* URL : https://github.com/denglab/SeqSero
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: Python
Description : Salmonella serotyping from genome sequencing data
SeqSero is a pipeline for Salmonella serotype determination from raw
 sequencing reads or genome assemblies.
 .
SeqSero is a novel tool for determining Salmonella serotypes using high-
throughput genome sequencing data. SeqSero is based on curated databases
of Salmonella serotype determinants (rfb gene cluster, fliC and fljB
alleles) and is predicted to determine serotype rapidly and accurately
for nearly the full spectrum of Salmonella serotypes (more than 2,300
serotypes), from both raw sequencing reads and genome assemblies. The
performance of SeqSero was evaluated by testing
  1. raw reads from genomes of 308 Salmonella isolates of known serotype
  2. raw reads from genomes of 3,306 Salmonella isolates sequenced and
made publicly available by GenomeTrakr, a U.S. national monitoring
network operated by the Food and Drug Administration; and
  3. 354 other publicly available draft or complete Salmonella genomes.
SeqSero can help to maintain the well-established utility of Salmonella
serotyping when integrated into a platform of WGS-based pathogen
 subtyping and characterization.

Remark: This package will be maintained by the Debian Med team at

Description : extractive summarization of text with the LexRank algorithm
An R implementation of the LexRank algorithm implementing stochastic
graph-based method for computing relative importance of textual units
for Natural Language Processing. We test the technique on the problem
of Text Summarization (TS). Extractive TS relies on the concept of
sentence salience to identify the most important sentences in a
document or set of documents. Salience is typically defined in terms of
the presence of particular important words or in terms of similarity to
 a centroid pseudo-sentence.

I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention. I believe one of your responses was

Owner: Stuart Prescott

* Package name: dh-curl-sudo-bash
  Version : 1.1
Upstream Author : Lars Wirzenius and Stuart Prescott

* URL : http://deb.li/U67E
* License : BSD 3 clause
  Programming Lang: POSIX shell, Perl
Description : debhelper tools for automated non-packaging

The dh-curl-sudo-bash package provides a build-system method for debhelper
that automates the non-packaging of programs for which the preferred form of
distribution is the sequence

"curl http://example.com/setup.sh | sudo bash -"

dh-curl-sudo-bash causes debhelper to create a maintainer post-install script
that runs the above command on the target machine when the package is installed.
Running dpkg-reconfigure is therefore enough to upgrade the package too, thus
preventing problems with upgrades. The dh-curl-sudo-bash source package
Build-Depends on devscripts so that uscan can be embedded into the postinst to
find the correct URL for upgrades.

Example usage:

  debian/rules:

  %:
  dh $@ --buildsystem=curl_sudo_bash

  debian/curl_sudo_bash.watch:

  http://example.com/setup-(.*\..*).sh

For completeness, other shells can also be selected by exporting the variable
DH_CURL_SUDO_SHELL from debian/rules:

export DH_CURL_SUDO_SHELL=mksh

A future extension to dh-curl-sudo-bash is planned that will permit any github
repository to be automatically (non-)packaged; the following version will
iterate over all github and gitlab repositories packaging everything available.

We anticipate that this will make all other Debian Developers redundant as
from now on the only thing that is now required to make high quality packages
for Debian is to include the relevant URL. This package also obsoletes the
previous apt-gentoo package.
--- End Message ---
--- Begin Message ---
Closing the ITP bug report for dh-curl-sudo-bash. All useful action to
prepare an upload has been done now. The package has not been rejected
by ftp-masters, release-team, or debian-legal, and the has been no GR
to block it. The expulsion process to remove us from Debian has not
been officially started. There's nothing you can do now to prevent
this from going onto millions of Debian machines around the world.

Bwahahahahahaha! You're all doomed! Doomed I say!

It is still in my TODO list to process your detailed feedback to the RFS I sent
to the mailing list (thanks BTW !).

I think I should manage to do that before May but I'm always happy if anybody
steps in.

I'll CC the ITP bug as well...

License : GPL-3+
Programming Lang: C
Description: D-Bus service to check the availability of dual-GPU
For systems that have both an integrated GPU and a dedicated GPU, this
package by default will force the integrated GPU to be used to save power.

You can launch individual apps using the dedicated GPU by running them
with the environment variable DRI_PRIME=1. Or you can right-click on the
app (while it's not running) in GNOME Shell's Activities Overview
and choose the "Launch using Dedicated Graphics Card" option.

If this default behavior is not appropriate, uninstall this package or
set xdg.force_integrated=0 as a kernel command-line option in your
bootloader.

Other Info
--
I am a Debian Maintainer and I expect we will maintain this package in
the pkg-gnome team. Packaging is at
https://anonscm.debian.org/git/pkg-gnome/switcheroo-control.git/

gnome-control-center and gnome-shell 3.24 optionally use the interface
exposed by this service. Fedora 25 backported these enhancements to
the GNOME 3.22 it shipped.

http://www.hadess.net/2016/10/dual-gpu-integration-in-gnome.html

The project name is derived from the Linux kernel interface it uses:
vga_switcheroo.

This is basically what I'm doing. I'm not maintaining a fork, rather I'm
pulling in the upstream sources as a separate git remote when I'm building
packages.

git-buildpackage handles this very well, if you give it the right arguments.
It will tell you right away if you modified anything outside debian/ that is
not patched by quilt.

Well, this is the best way to do it when using git-buildpackage.
If you have other suggestions, I'm all ears. :)

If at all possible, I'd like to stick to cmake modules and not use anything
external like pkg-config.
Or maybe there's a cmake module for pulling in information from .pc files?

Ok... If it doesn't require too many modifications in the build system.

It did - if you built your own printer definition with a custom keepout area
like I did. ;)

Bug#859210: ITP: xtrabackup -- Percona XtraBackup is an open-source hot backup utility for MySQL that doesn't lock your database during the backup. It can back up data from InnoDB, XtraDB, and MyISAM

Yes, it has already been removed from stretch and it is too late in the
release cycle to get it back in because we are past the soft freeze.
However, the package is still in Debian unstable so it should be
updated rather than starting from scratch. The right way to do that is
to join the Debian MySQL team and help with updating the package. Any
package update in unstable should fix the 3 serious bugs that prevented
its inclusion in Debian stretch. Since the exact same version is
available in Debian jessie, you should fix those 3 serious bugs in
jessie too, if they apply there, some may not due to dependencies.

copies, please remove them from your VCS repository and tarballs.
If they are modified, please get your patches upstreamed.

I'm not familiar with Percona XtraBackup so I'll leave the decision
about which version use up to you and the MySQL team. For Debian's
side, we usually choose to use the LTS version if there is one or the
latest stable release otherwise.

Bug#859596: RFA: molly-guard -- 9027b495eb885926ceab360590ed53b7

2017-04-04 Thread Francois Marier
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the molly-guard package.

The main thing that needs fixing at the moment are the diversions (bug
#837928) since that's causing issues with usrmerge.

There is also a reported problem with systemd-sysv (bug #856024) that needs
to be investigated. The diversions are also at fault here.

If you can help with either of these things in time for stretch, but don't
want to commit to maintaining the package, I would still be glad to hear
from you.

Francois

I agree this is the best way; my point was that you should not have a
repository on github with a copy of the source, and the watch file should point
to Ultimaker's github. Having a repository with the packaging is good. You
can also host that in our team repository on Alioth. You are a member with
commit access.

It seems like there is:

It shouldn't. Worst case, you can remove the bundled files and replace them
with symlinks as part of the build. But using pkg-config is better; if
anything changes, that will change with it and it will continue to work.

Ah yes, I heard someone talk about that, and was told that it worked, but
getting 2.4 was the easier fix for me. :)

Thanks again,
