 This Node.js module finds and loads configuration files in the usual
 places, loads them, and flatten them in that order:
  - command line arguments (parsed by minimist)
  - environment variables prefixed with $appname_
  - config file path given as `--config` argument
  - .${appname}rc in parents folders, in home, or /etc
  - .config/$appname or .config/$appname/config in home
  - /etc/$appname/config
 It is also possible to set a custom command-line options parser
 or a custom configuration file parser.

  Description : Django middlewares to enable monitoring with Prometheus

The django-prometheus library provides integrations to monitor database
interaction, usage of models, and HTTP requests. Any custom metrics are also
handled directly by the Python Prometheus client library.

This library just facilitates gathering and exporting the data. A separate
service (or set of services) must be used to gather, store and process this
data.

I plan to maintain this as part of the Debian Python Modules Team.

Bug#820547: ITP: harvest-tools -- archiving and postprocessing for reference-compressed genomic multi-alignments

2016-04-09 Thread Andreas Tille
Package: wnpp

Owner: Andreas Tille

* Package name: harvest-tools
  Version : 1.2
  Upstream Author : Todd Treangen
* URL : https://github.com/marbl/harvest-tools
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: C++, Python
  Description : archiving and postprocessing for reference-compressed
genomic multi-alignments
 HarvestTools is a utility for creating and interfacing with Gingr files,
 which are efficient archives that the Harvest Suite uses to store
 reference-compressed multi-alignments, phylogenetic trees, filtered
 variants and annotations. Though designed for use with Parsnp and Gingr,
 HarvestTools can also be used for generic conversion between standard
 bioinformatics file formats.

alignments. It will be packaged by the Debian Med team at

Bug#820553: RFP: blockstack-server -- A server that handles the core functionality of building the global Internet database

2016-04-09 Thread Carlo Stemberger
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: blockstack-server
  Version : Git
  Upstream Author : Muneeb Ali , Jude Nelson
* URL : https://github.com/blockstack/blockstack-server
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : A server that handles the core functionality of building
the global Internet database

Blockstack server provides decentralized DNS by using an underlying
blockchain. It enables human-readable name registrations on the Bitcoin
blockchain, along with the ability to store associated data in external
datastores. You can use it to register globally unique names, bind data
records with those names, and transfer them between Bitcoin addresses.
Anyone can perform lookups on those names and securely obtain the
associated data records.

Blockstack uses the Bitcoin blockchain for storing name operations and
data hashes, and the Kademlia-based distributed hash table (DHT) and
other external datastores for storing the full data files outside of the
blockchain.

much the same error that is already noted here:

This was on the current stretch (perl 5.22).

Bug#820561: ITP: dh-elpa-test -- Debian helper tool for running ELPA package testsuites

Yeah. If dh-elpa-test runs the tests for a package, dh_auto_test must
be disabled. That's because dh_auto_test runs `make test`, and many
ELPA packages will run something that is incompatible with Debian if you
run `make test`.

If dh-elpa-test did not disable dh_auto_test, every package using it
would need boilerplate `override_dh_auto_test: /bin/true`. But the only
way for a debhelper helper to disable dh_auto_test is in its sequencer
script. If I put the code to disable dh_auto_test in dh_elpa's sequencer
script (/usr/share/perl5/Debian/Debhelper/Sequence/elpa.pm),
dh_auto_test would be disabled for *all* packages using dh_elpa, which
would be undesirable since some of them have test suites that *can* be
run with a simple `make test`.

So dh-elpa-test needs its own sequencer script in
/usr/share/perl5/Debian/Debhelper/Sequence, and so it also needs its own
corresponding /usr/bin/dh_elpa_test. But then for ease of maintenance
it should be its own source package.

If you put that in Debian::Debhelper::Sequence::elpa you could just
check for something (an exported variable?) and/or do some magic to
detect on your own, without having package maintainers having to do this
choice for all those packages, couldn't you?

> But then for ease of maintenance it should be its own source package.

this sounds kind of ominous to me: we're talking about an alleged
helper, maintained in the same team where dh-elpa is maintained. What
kind of difficult of maintenance would have it? To me, it looks like
it would actually *easy* the maintenance, as I couldn't figure this
as something separated from dh-elpa, but only tightly united.

new ppsspp mentors package need sponsored

the package are in very good shape, uses new libpng from system and
some fix/hacks in the fonts issues

a missing debian root menu (for those desktops that only are window managers)

the patches do the best for some system used fixeds, but i doub around
the assets, due seems are a string of paths, and removal in code
include the ":" that the patches does not take in consideration

in last i cannot tested with roms, due not complete compiled in my
environment,, i thinkg i must setup a real sid debian environment due
i can compiled in chroot but i need to run with roms to see if package
works

Hi,

I am not aware of any reason why a package can only provide at most one
debhelper sequence? If this is the primary reason for having two
packages, please assert that this assumption holds.

Thanks,

Yes, I'm aware of that. I was busy fixing the fallout of the libpng1.6
transition and there is lots of packages that we need to fix.

So, please be aware that we have priorities in Debian.

Well, I'll look at the package myself first, then decide whether that's
actually the case or not.

> a missing debian root menu (for those desktops that only are window managers)

That's not missing. Debian decided a while ago that we're getting rid of the
menu infrastructure.

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

Well, I'm not quite sure why you care about that. The package has to be
reviewed by a Debian Developer anyway. So, you don't have to do that.
