Bug#813896: Retitle ITP bug

2016-03-01 Thread Ole Streicher
Control: retitle -1 ITP: python-asdf -- Python package to handle Advanced
Scientific Data Format files

The naming discussion in

https://github.com/spacetelescope/pyasdf/issues/186

leads to a renaming of the Debian package, since the Python
package is now renamed to "asdf":

* source package will now called python-asdf
* binary packages are python-asdf and python3-asdf

There is another data format for seismology that is also
called ASDF; they will rename their package to pyasdf.

I will also rename the git repository to python-asdf.

This project aims to reimplement the game engine of Theme Hospital, and be able
to load the original game data files. This means that you will need a
purchased copy of Theme Hospital, or a copy of the demo, in order to use
CorsixTH. After most of the original engine has been reimplemented in open
source code, the project will serve as a base from which extensions
and improvements to the original game can be made.

Collection of low-level functions used in storage applications.
Contains fast erasure codes that implement a general

erasure of whole blocks. The general ISA-L library contains an expanded
set of functions used for data protection, hashing, encryption, etc.

I want to maintain this package inside openstack-pkg. It's optional
dependency for python-pyeclib/liberasurecode, which is used in Swift

Description : Python encapsulation of the Ferret data analysis and
visualization toolkit

PyFerret is a Python module wrapping Ferret. The pyferret module provides
Python functions so Python users can easily take advantage of the Ferret's
abilities to retrieve, manipulate, visualize, and save data. There are also
functions to move data between Python and the Ferret engine. Python scripts
used as Ferret external functions.

But PyFerret can also be used as a transparent replacement for the traditional
Ferret executable. A simple script starts Python and enters the pyferret
module, giving the traditional Ferret interface. This script also support all
of Ferret's command-line options.

Inside the PyFerret wrapper is a complete, but enhanced Ferret engine. One
very noticeable enhancement is improved graphics which can be saved in common
image formats. (Sorry, no more GKS metafiles.) Also, PyFerret comes packaged
with many new statistical and shapefile function which are, in fact, Python
scripts making use of third-party Python modules.

Hi,

I have packaged the initial version of ET:Legacy a while ago. My Debian
files can be found here:

https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-games/etlegacy.git

Unfortunately even the data files of the engine are non-distributable
and thus not suitable for Debian. I have filed an upstream bug for that
but I expect it will take some time until it gets resolved.

This library controls data projector using pjlink protocol.
Pjlink protocol is supported by the majority of manufacturers and permits one
 to control and query:
 * power

 * projector errors

In Debian we haven't any implementation of pjlink protocol in any language.
Pjlink is quite useful for automating remote control of data projectors.
This package include a CLI utility and a python library.

I'm not a maintainer for sysvinit, so I leave the decision to the

Hi!

I need daemonize as part of OpenStack Fuel (it's used during the puppet
deployment of nodes).

How far are you with the packaging? Is there a source package available
somewhere? It doesn't look like a complicated package, I'm surprised
it's not yet uploaded considering the ITP was opened in July last year.

Did you loose interest for it? Could I take over the ITP? Or will you
upload it soon?

Sorry, It's not strictly necessary - Bertrand made me aware that this is
just a package change; I added a simple patch and now it compiles.

jaudiotagger 2.2.x _might_ be used in later jajuk versions, but for now
we can do without.

Sorry for the misinformation!

Hi,

I think I should have orphaned this package quite sometimes ago as I'm
not really using it.

The compatibility with the newer version of django and python should be checked
and I guess the package should be RM if it's not working anymore. I don't think
upstream is working on this anymore.

Description: A package to help configure nagios written in Django
Djagios is an open source Nagios web based configuration tool with a complete
 Python Nagios API.
 .
The main goal of the tool was to make Nagios usable for non-Nagios admins.
The initial install and configuration would have to be done by Nagios
administrators. But once done ordinary users can add servers, appliances,
 devices, services themselves.

Cheers,

Laurent Bigonville
