Bug#757354: [SoB] ITP: flintqs -- Program using quadratic sieve to factor integers
Hi Julien, sorry for not responding on your SoB request right in time. I totally missed it since you have put your row in the Wiki table on top since I always watch the end of the table for new entries. Since I did not wanted to let you wait longer I simply fixed the hardening issue which was easy enough by a simple patch. I regard the other hardening related info as false positive and do not like to override it. So I uploaded with some changes (also adding a pristine-tar branch which should be always created according to Debian Science policy). Thanks for preparing the package and feel free to ping me next time earlier if you do not get response after three days when entering a line in SoB Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#745342: Status of twine in Debian
Hi Gaudenz I've packaged twine and python-releases (a build dependency). Python releases was rejected and thus I was unable to upload twine. Twine and releases (not request!) are both in DPMT's SVN tree. Please ping me on #debian-python (zyga) as I'd like someone to help me to finish those and perhaps convert them to the new git world. I haven't uploaded them to mentors. as I was working with Piotr Ożarowski and it seems that DPMT is not using mentors. Bug#737050: Some corrections to the package
Hi, I packaged wx3.0 doc, and after that I discovered this ITP and the package on mentors... For this reason I'm sending to you my debdiff against the version on mentors, really similar but with the jquery lintian error fixed. Also the copyright file in my opinion was outdated, so I changed it, removing the wx3.0 code specific copyrights. BTW feel free to change and remove me from uploaders, I thought nobody was caring so I took the possibility, but if you care feel free to go on ;) For the maintainer I think freewx-maint is the best choice... Many Python projects need to use some specific data files, like javascript, css, java applets, images, etc. Sometimes these files belong to YOUR project (then you may want to package them separately, but you could also just put them into your main package). But in many other cases, those files are maintained by someone else (like jQuery javascript library or even much bigger js libraries or applications) and you definitely do not really want to merge them into your project. So, you want to have static file packages, but you don’t want to get lots of stuff you do not want. Thus, stuff required by XStatic file packages (especially the main, toplevel XStatic package) tries to obey to be a MINIMAL, no-fat thing. XStatic doesn't "sell" any web framework or other stuff you don't want. Maybe there will be optional XStatic extensions for all sorts of stuff, but they won't be required if you just want the files. . By having static files in packages, it is also easier to build virtual envs, support linux/bsd/... distribution package maintainers and even windows installs using the same mechanism. Note that the resulting Debian package do *not* include the upstream Angular javascript, but only the Python wrapper. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: python-xstatic-angular Source-Version: 1.2.16.1-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of python-xstatic-angular, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. This is an updated version of SocksiPy. Many old bugs fixed, and overall code cleanup. It features: * Fully supports Python 2.6 - 3.4 * SocksiPyHandler, courtesy e000, was also added as an example of how this module can be used with urllib2. See example code in sockshandler.py. * Bugs in the original SocksiPy were fixed, including two that could lead to infinite hanging when communicating with bad proxy servers. * urllib3, which powers the requests module, is working on integrating SOCKS proxy support based on this branch. * SOCKS5, SOCKS4, and HTTP are now aliases for PROXY_TYPE_SOCKS5, PROXY_TYPE_SOCKS4, and PROXY_TYPE_HTTP * Various style and performance improvements; codebase simplified * Actively maintained This is a dependency for running Google cloud tools. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: python-pysocks Source-Version: 1.5.0-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of python-pysocks, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. Oops. - debian/changelog: merge the 1.2+dfsg-1 & 1.3+dfsg-1 entries (since the former never got uploaded to sid) Done. - explain to upstream (Dimitris in CC) why we're chopping off their tarball with respect to non-free pdf, and what they can do about it CC'd you in separate e-mail. - fix lintian warning debian-watch-file-should-dversionmangle-not-uversionmangle This is an ongoing issue, and the warning is going to be dropped. Zygmunt Krynicki writes: > Hi Gaudenz > > I've packaged twine and python-releases (a build dependency). > Python releases was rejected and thus I was unable to upload twine. You still don't mention why it was rejected. In bug #745347 there was some discussion about the package name. Was that the reason? What does hold you from renaming it to python-sphinx-releases or even better first discussing this on the debian-python list as proposed in the bug. Looking at what's currently in the archive there does not seem to be a universal naming scheme for sphinx extensions. The following are possible names for releases with some precedent: - python-sphinx-releases - python-sphinxcontrib-releases - python-sphinxcontrib.releases > > Twine and releases (not request!) are both in DPMT's SVN tree.
