Thomas,

Digikam is using hupnp for its UPnP interface:

Amarok is using the UPnP MediaServer KIO-slave based on hupnp:

If you have no longer interest in maintaining graphite I will move that

Bug#693451: RFP: pycessing -- python based educational programming environment like processing

2012-11-19 Thread Brendan Howell

Hi Thomas,

That would be fantastic to have Pycessing in Debian!

Two issues:

1. I don't really have a proper setup.py in there right now that
installs everything to /usr/local or wherever. Is that something that
you will take care of specially for Debian or do I need to do that?

2. I am incredibly busy right now but I will try to clean up any
outstanding unfinished work and get a tarball-only release out in the
next 2 weeks. Do you have a specific hard deadline?

Thanks very much for your efforts!

best,
-Brendan

Pycessing is an educational programming environment that makes it easy for the
student to produce graphics and do other motivational things. It's modelled
after the java based processing[1].

[1] http://processing.org

@Brendan: I want to look at pycessing and probably package it for
Debian. (It'll then also be available for all Debian based distributions
e.g. Ubuntu). I see that there are many commits in the Git repository on
bitbucket in 2012 but no release since 2011.

Could you do a release in the next weeks?

Bug#693719: ITP: https-finder -- extension that detects valid HTTPS pages as you browse

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-de...@lists.debian.org
X-Debbugs-CC: pkg-mozext-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org

   Package name: xul-ext-https-finder
Version: 0.86
Upstream Author: Kevin Jacobs
URL: https://code.google.com/p/https-finder/
License: MPL-1.1
Description: extension that detects valid HTTPS pages as you browse
HTTPS Finder automatically detects and enforces valid HTTPS connections
as you browse, as well as automating the rule creation process for
HTTPS-Everywhere (instead of having to manually type "https://"; in the
address bar to test, and writing your own XML rule for it).
 .
The extension sends a small HTTPS request to each HTTP page you browse
to. If there is a response, the certificate is checked for validity (any
certificate errors will result in no notification, and no further
detection requests during that session). If valid, HTTPS is
automatically enforced (can be disabled for an alert only, with no
redirect), and the user is given an option to save the auto-generated
rule for HTTPS Everywhere. It is recommended to create rules whenever
possible, as it more securely enforces secure connections.

Bug#634757:

2012-11-19 Thread Nick Andrik
Hello there,

Do you still need someone to adopt the lyx package?

I could try and help for some time and see if I could possibly adopt
it eventually since it is a package that I use quite much.
If this is OK, I could start by looking on the (quite many) bugs filed
against the package to prepare an updated version

Best regards,
Nick
