Hi, I'm worried that on the home page, it's written: "This package is not maintained" also, the package is marked as quality "beta" and there has been no upstream release since end of 2009. Sure, there's the PEAR QA team, but still, it'd be quite risky. So, if you don't mind me asking: for what reason do you need php-mail-mbox? I don't mind maintaining the package, but will you maintain upstream code? Also, I'd like to point out that there's "debpear" now in Debian which I created, and which is using pkg-php-tools. It does some magic! :) apt-get install debpear wget http://download.pear.php.net/package/Mail_Mbox-0.6.3.tgz debpear -t Mail_Mbox-0.6.3.tgz -pv 0.6.3 Mail_Mbox then look at what magically appears in the build-area folder! :) Note that most of the time, simply calling "debpear Mail_Mbox" is enough, but not this time, as the package is set as beta in pear.php.net. Anyway, that's how I first create PEAR packages, then I check the copyright, and sometimes (like for this package), add PHPUnit unit testings. There's often few tweaks, like here, the long description didn't seem good enough, but that's mostly it. Please test the result: Vcs-Browser: http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-php/php-mail-mbox.git Vcs-Git: http://git.debian.org/git/pkg-php/php-mail-mbox.git Let me know if it does what you expected, and if the package is usable (I didn't test it...), and let me know if you need me to upload this (and for what reason you do need it as said above), Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Hi, Quoting Valentin Lorentz (2012-06-19 18:51:05) > > As said elsewhere, there was already an ITP, and even an RFS. I know. I talked to Valentin and he said he doesn’t mind and doesn’t actually want to maintain it :). > > Nevertheless, I would still like to ask: why? There is a lightweight notification daemon called dunst which depends on this. I’m going to file an ITP for that soonish: http://knopwob.github.com/dunst/ Best regards, Michael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#678190: ITP: dbvisualizer -- multi-database management tool
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Luca Vercelli * Package name: dbvisualizer Version : 8.0.9 * URL : http://www.dbvis.com/ * License : proprietary software Programming Lang: Java Description : multi-database management tool Dear all, this software is the freeware version of a proprietary software. So, the source code is not available. Anyway, I think this is one of the best multi-database softwares available, so I would like to go on and create a package for it. Do you think this is a good idea? In the case, I will need some suggestions about packaging Java apps. Bug#678199: RFP: librdf-generator-void-perl -- Generate VoID descriptions based on data in an RDF model
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: librdf-generator-void-perl Version : 0.01.13 Upstream Author : Kjetil Kjernsmo * URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/RDF-Generator-Void/ * License : Artistic + GPL Programming Lang: Perl Description : Generate VoID descriptions based on data in an RDF model VoID is a data description vocabulary, which is a de facto standard defined in a W3C Interest Group note, see http://www.w3.org/TR/void/ . This module takes an RDF model object as input to the constructor, and based on the data in that model as well as data supplied by the user, it creates a new model with a VoID description of the data in the model. Wouldn't it be a better idea to replace the iniparser dependency of dunst with something saner? :) I'm willing to submit a patch to replace iniparser with inih[1], anything to keep iniparser out of Debian, as that thing is the poster child of brokenness. Bug#678218: ITP: ocamlrss -- RSS 2.0 parser and printer for OCaml
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Sylvain Le Gall * Package name: ocamlrss Version : 2.0 Upstream Author : Maxence Guesdon * URL : http://zoggy.github.com/ocamlrss/ * License : LGPL + BSD Programming Lang: OCaml Description : RSS 2.0 parser and printer for OCaml OCaml-RSS is a small OCaml library providing functions to parse and print RSS 2.0 files. The parser can also parse some RDF files, but some fields are not taken into account. There is still some work to do (add missing RSS 2.0 attributes, add convenient functions). Bug#678229: ITP: tilem -- GTK+ TI Z80 calculator emulator
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Albert Huang * Package name: tilem Version : 2.0.0 Upstream Author : TilEm2 * URL : http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tilem/ * License : GPL, LGPL, GFDL Programming Lang: C Description : GTK+ TI Z80 calculator emulator TilEm is an emulator and debugger for Texas Instruments' Z80-based graphing calculators. It can emulate any of the following calculator models: * TI-73 / TI-73 Explorer * TI-76.fr * TI-81 * TI-82 * TI-82 STATS / TI-82 STATS.fr * TI-83 * TI-83 Plus / TI-83 Plus Silver Edition / TI-83 Plus.fr * TI-84 Plus / TI-84 Plus Silver Edition / TI-84 pocket.fr * TI-85 * TI-86 TilEm fully supports all known versions of the above calculators (as of 2012), and attempts to reproduce the behavior of the original calculator hardware as faithfully as possible. In addition, TilEm can emulate the TI-Nspire's virtual TI-84 Plus mode. This is currently experimental, and some programs may not work correctly. . TilEm runs on the X Window System on GNU/Linux and other Unix-like platforms, as well as on Microsoft Windows, and any other platform supported by the GTK+ library. In addition to the emulation, TilEm 2 provide a lot of extra features, such as: * Fully featured debugger * Grabbing screenshots and recording gif (animations) * Virtual linking (through libticables) * Flash writing and erasing * Application and OS loading * Scripting using macros -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
