This is useful when you index by object, for example. The problem with Tie::RefHash, and cross indexing, is that sometimes the index should not contain strong references to the objecs. The internal structures of Tie::RefHash contain strong references to the key, and provide no convenient means to make those references weak. This subclass of Tie::RefHash has weak keys, instead of strong ones. The values are left unaltered, and you'll have to make sure there are no strong references there yourself. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: libtie-refhash-weak-perl Source-Version: 0.09-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of libtie-refhash-weak-perl, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09-1.debian.tar.gz to main/libt/libtie-refhash-weak-perl/libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09-1.debian.tar.gz libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09-1.dsc to main/libt/libtie-refhash-weak-perl/libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09-1.dsc libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09-1_all.deb to main/libt/libtie-refhash-weak-perl/libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09-1_all.deb libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09.orig.tar.gz to main/libt/libtie-refhash-weak-perl/libtie-refhash-weak-perl_0.09.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Here are some of its advantages: - Compatible with Data::Dump::Streamer, so the runtime environment can be serialised - The parser can be extended/customised to support extra (or fewer) language features (not yet complete) - All JavaScript datatypes can be manipulated directly from Perl (they all have overloaded operators) . Here are its main weakness: - It's slow - It uses lots of memory. - It leaks memory (to be fixed). . This is still an alpha release, but it fully implements ECMAScript v3, except for a few seldom-used features like -0. Bug#613209: O: jabberd14 -- Instant messaging server using the Jabber/XMPP protocol
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I intend to orphan the jabberd14 package. I no longer use it and active upstream development has practically stopped. The last upstream release was on July 2007. My use-case for this package was very simple, just a very simple jabber server in a domestic LAN, without SSL and without server to server communication. For a very simple jabber server I would recommend to use prosody. For other needs, ejabberd would do just fine. I remark that because this package is bitrotting and almost all outstanding bugs have to do with those features that I don't use and I'm not really interested. In fact I'm wondering if I should ask its removal from the archive. If nobody adopt it soon I'll ask for removal. Active Server Pages is a web application platform that originated with the Microsoft NT/IIS server. Under Apache for Unix and Win32 platforms it allows a developer to create dynamic web applications with session management and embedded perl code. . This module works under the Apache Web Server with the mod_perl module enabled. See http://www.apache.org and http://perl.apache.org for further information. It can also work under a standard CGI call interface using the asp-perl command. See README.Debian in this package for more details. . This is a portable solution, similar to ActiveState's PerlScript for NT/IIS ASP. Work has been done and will continue to make ports to and from this implementation as smooth as possible.
