Bug#561868: ITP: piwigo -- photo gallery software for the web
Hi, thanks for your interest in piwigo. > That's a quite interesting package because I intend to implement such gallery software soonish. Could you please do some comparison against ansel1 which is just inside Debian. I'd be interested how both compare to have some help for the decision which one to use. To be honest, I didn't know about ansel before you ask for comparaison. I search for that application. I saw screenshot and features and it looks good but I didn't find a simple way to install it. Maybe I forgot something. I'm not sure I'm the right person to do an honest compaison because I'm involved in piwigo development ! But I can say one thing. I think piwigo is simple : simple to install and very intuitive to use. We embrassed KISS concept. Bug#561919: RFA: mrtg-ping-probe
Package: wnpp Severity: normal This package is very simple to maintain and very close to zero effort. It currently needs a rebuild to increase the standards version but that's it. I'm orphaning the package because due to lack of recent time I'm intending to retire from Debian. Jonathan Oxer signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part

If you are upstream developer and Debian maintainer this at least is a good thing regarding keeping the Debian package in sync with upstream. This might be even more a reason to have a deeper look on Ansel to get new ideas perhaps. There's no need to package php-archive-tar, as it's already included in php-pear, so it will always be there. I'm closing the ITP bug, sorry for this issue. The issue I'm having here is that the upstream doesn't follow closely the changes in Debian and Linux. Each time that I try to package it, there's a new change that prevents me from doing the work. Currently, iptables-dev doesn't package iptables.h anymore, and I'm stuck with the code not compiling anymore. If you have a solution for this, then I'd be happy to finish the packaging. I once had something that did work in Debian Stable (etch at the time), but I never succeeded in having a package that works in SID. Bug#561963: RFP: hudson -- extensible continuous integration server
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: hudson Version : 1.312 Upstream Author : Kohsuke Kawaguchi * URL : http://hudson-ci.org/ * License : MIT Programming Lang: Java Description : extensible continuous integration server Hudson monitors executions of repeated jobs, such as building a software project or jobs run by cron. Among those things, current Hudson focuses on the following two jobs: 1. Building/testing software projects continuously, just like CruiseControl or DamageControl. In a nutshell, Hudson provides an easy-to-use so-called continuous integration system, making it easier for developers to integrate changes to the project, and making it easier for users to obtain a fresh build. The automated, continuous build increases the productivity. 2. Monitoring executions of externally-run jobs, such as cron jobs and procmail jobs, even those that are run on a remote machine. For example, with cron, all you receive is regular e-mails that capture the output, and it is up to you to look at them diligently and notice when it broke. Hudson keeps those outputs and makes it easy for you to notice when something is wrong. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? It uses the netCDF version 3 library to make a subset of netCDF functionality available to PDL users in a clean, object-oriented interface. Another NetCDF perl interface, which allows access to the entire range of netCDF functionality (but in a non-object-oriented style which uses perl arrays instead of PDLs) is available through Unidata at http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf/index.html). The NetCDF standard allows N-dimensional binary data to be efficiently stored, annotated and exchanged between many platforms. Programming Lang: C, Fortran Description : Meteorological plotting software Magics++ is the latest generation of the ECMWF's Meteorological plotting software MAGICS. Although completely redesigned in C++, it is intended to be as backwards-compatible as possible with the Fortran interface. Besides its programming interfaces (Fortran and C), Magics++ offers MagML, a plot description language based on XML aimed at automatic web production. . The library supports the plotting of contours, wind fields, observations, satellite images, symbols, text, axis and graphs (including boxplots). . Data fields to be plotted may be presented in various formats, for instance GRIB 1 and 2 code data, Gaussian grid, regularly spaced grid and fitted data. Input data can also be in BUFR and NetCDF format or retrieved from an ODB database. . The produced meteorological plots can be saved in various formats, such as PostScript, EPS, PDF, GIF, PNG, SVG and KML. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: magics++ Source-Version: 2.6.4~dfsg-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of magics++, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: libmagics++-data_2.6.4~dfsg-1_all.deb to main/m/magics++/libmagics++-data_2.6.4~dfsg-1_all.deb libmagics++-dev_2.6.4~dfsg-1_i386.deb to main/m/magics++/libmagics++-dev_2.6.4~dfsg-1_i386.deb libmagplus3_2.6.4~dfsg-1_i386.deb to main/m/magics++/libmagplus3_2.6.4~dfsg-1_i386.deb magics++_2.6.4~dfsg-1.diff.gz to main/m/magics++/magics++_2.6.4~dfsg-1.diff.gz magics++_2.6.4~dfsg-1.dsc to main/m/magics++/magics++_2.6.4~dfsg-1.dsc magics++_2.6.4~dfsg-1_i386.deb to main/m/magics++/magics++_2.6.4~dfsg-1_i386.deb magics++_2.6.4~dfsg.orig.tar.gz to main/m/magics++/magics++_2.6.4~dfsg.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Bug#497584: Already packaged CoSign 3.0.2
I've packaged the CoSign 3.0.2 Apache module, in case anyone is interested. (Is this thread even still alive?) You can try out my package by adding this to your sources.list... deb http://deb.weblion.psu.edu/debian lenny-unstable main non-free contrib ...and aptitude installing libapache2-mod-cosign from the lenny- unstable distro. This work is based on a package of 2.x (for Etch) which I made about a year ago and which we've been using in production on about 16 VMs. Source code for the package is available at https://weblion.psu.edu/trac/weblion/browser/weblion/hosting/packages/cosign/trunk . If this thread truly is dead, I'm very interested in contributing this work to Debian. Martin, are you still planning to move on this? You should use coverage if you're primarily looking at code coverage of unit tests; figleaf is probably more useful for situations where you are recording code coverage in multiple execution runs and/or want to tweak the reporting output -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJLMEErAAoJELNAhRTZc35m55gQAJizqNTGfjFnPm+KSihQ8Twh g79REeFvKhxKrzaRpBM6GNEm5LkRriFupQgJ/3ZxhtvxuqShrNtMQz6jDtLNjs10 9cUbfREXmN0905cnFEOlkLOmweEStBHxPCBLB0qB7ogXvl/2dOedQeKEuCuonaaS 1oXGen1lflahVjEHBZr/jGIMWM6e38nTy21KTrrzgKDVkUVs5IP7pdjk1Ed1WRxe 5iiv45L/GQ8cQmghHg5cHbjUQDpO/U8YK1qAeX7/7HDgKj5QJMtQ0DPravGW+R6L ROvWNh3utoXB9k4QaiSIWS56JSQ/Ug2bYAdLgv4fJieQ2bR6vHIGyidhI9ra1g8V jCipWKQw3yKBP9TBmTWdXu+w+GRAGW4COSAKRtDuqZ95iwntyVaZ6zUUS4dZNW1b g2zZr4Z73qQHfrUBY4TyiWkmPlwG4BtjInMuKt12Efx8L0+0evm9FfMP/sUi01BZ V7DEEGT1ARaXY53LYakSpPGb6DXXAA7DqybfTNqdpxQxkKlBSav4XvU+XKPC5Kfq jDwf3rmKLIyvIhWrQubUNnl9XYFsnEoIbrlj/udUpIRXy16qKzdR6LBpDqic6OQk yQuyKLM/JMdF/gen4snzfleFDbmCB4wx/RVhtwCxbOyiTjHYdaxc+K/H02JZ2ja7 /EO1F6qn7DUi+SkJkOJv =9zt0 -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
